Display device for working machine

The invention is directed to a display device for working vehicle, which is adapted so that additional information can be displayed. In the invention, display indication marks of the two types can be interchangeably displayed on a common display screen of a limited area without reducing the sizes of the individual marks, so that neither a larger size of a display device nor a drop in the visibility of the indication marks is necessary. This enables the driver to control a working machine such as a construction machine and have additional information about the construction machine without any trouble in the driving.

Monitoring propagation protection within a network

Described are methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for propagation protection within a network. A management station receives event messages from a plurality of transparent network appliances, each of the event messages comprising a threat indication generated in response to a detected threat in data being transmitted through the respective transparent network appliance.

High transparency integrated enclosure touch screen assembly for a portable hand held device

An integrated enclosure/touch screen assembly. A touch screen assembly consisting of a display mechanism and optical sensor mechanism are enclosed within a single piece cover. The optical sensor mechanism consists of lens structure and optical sensor couple to the lens structure. The single piece cover includes a transparent top surface and the lens structure is embedded within the transparent top surface. The transparent top surface of the single piece cover provides an enclosure that is both dust free and waterproof.
The lens structure of the single piece cover functions by columnating light across the transparent surface. The optical touch sensor is coupled to the lens structure to register contact with the transparent surface via the lens structure by detecting disturbances in the columnated light. In one embodiment, the single piece cover is constructed by embedding the lens structure directly into the transparent surface. This process forms the single piece cover and also may be used to provide various shapes for the outer edges of the cover. The single piece cover eliminates exposed seams of the touch screen assembly. Additionally, the transparent surface is disposed directly above the display without any intervening layers, thereby improving the transmission of light to the display.

Wearable data display

A transparent wearable data display having a source of collimated light a deflector for deflecting the collimated light into a scanned beam, and a first array including one column and integer N rows of switchable grating elements sandwiched between first and second parallel transparent substrates. The substrates together functioning as a first light guide, and a second array including M columns and N rows of switchable grating elements sandwiched between third and fourth parallel transparent substrates which together function as a second lightguide. Transparent electrodes are applied to opposing substrates. A first coupling for directing the scanned beam into a first TIR light path of the first lightguide along the first array column; and a second coupling for directing the first TIR light into a second TIR path of the second lightguide along a row of elements of the second array.

Systems and methods for displaying changes in biological responses to therapy

Systems and methods of this invention display data using pixels with information indicated by color and intensity changes, particularly used for monitoring of physiological variables in real time. For certain methods, physiological data can be acquired by sensors, acquired data can be stored in data frames, data frames can be processed using computer-implemented methods, and processed data frames can be scaled to a display frame for display on a display device. Using such methods, a spot made up of a group of pixels can be updated during a time frame, or cycle using a computer-implemented method, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division or a time dependent function. Newly received data can be combined with prior received data to indicate time-dependent changes. In this way, each spot contains a cumulative history of data starting at some initial time. In other embodiments, visual contrast can be enhanced between desired data and other data. In further embodiments, two or more different types of data can be plotted together to indicate relationships between variables. Real time monitoring of signals during therapeutic treatment using light, electricity or other nerve or muscle stimuli can allow a user to monitor physiological responses during stimulation and to make rapid decisions about medical treatment.
