Method for preparing furfural compounds from biomass

The invention relates to a method for preparing furfural compounds from biomass. The method specifically comprises the preparation of a solid acid catalyst and a reaction process of the solid acid catalyst. The method disclosed by the invention can also be applied to biomass derivatives. The method comprises the steps of adding biomass or biomass derivatives and the solid acid catalyst to a reactor, filling with protective gas, and adopting an organic solvent / saturated inorganic salt aqueous-solution two-phase reaction system, thereby obtaining furfural and 5-hydroxymethylfurfural in a high yield manner under mild conditions. The method has the advantages that after the reaction is completed, the produced furfural and 5-hydroxymethylfurfural are efficiently extracted into an upper-layer organic phase, the solid acid catalyst and an unreacted substrate are retained in a bottom-layer water phase, the furfural, the 5-hydroxymethylfurfural or a mixture of the furfural and the 5-hydroxymethylfurfural can be obtained through simple separation, and fine chemicals and liquid fuels can be prepared in a manner that the furfural, the 5-hydroxymethylfurfural or the mixture of the furfural and the 5-hydroxymethylfurfural serves as a reaction intermediate; and the used catalyst is pollution-free and can be recovered and reused, so that the method has good industrial application prospects.

The invention discloses a method for synthesizing 2,5-dihydroxymethylfuran by selective hydrogenation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural. The method is characterized in that a magnetic metal-organic coordination polymer is used as an acid and base bifunctional catalyst, low-price and easily-obtained low carbon alcohol is used as an in-situ hydrogen donor, and the 5-hydroxymethylfurfural is efficiently transformed into the 2,5-dihydroxymethylfuran by a selective transfer hydrogenation reaction under mild operation conditions and the maximum yield of the 2,5-dihydroxymethylfuran can be up to 98.6 percent. The magnetic metal organic coordination polymer used in the method disclosed by the invention has the advantages of relatively-high acid-base strength, more acid-base sites, relatively-large specific surface area and suitable pore size; in addition, the magnetic metal organic coordination polymer is simple in preparation process, is easy to separate and recover and shows excellent catalytic activity and catalytic stability. Furthermore, the low carbon alcohol is used as the in-situ hydrogen donor in the invention, so that the use of molecular hydrogen is avoided and the safety of the reaction process is improved; besides, the low carbon alcohol can be used as a reaction solvent and the introduction of exogenous substances is reduced, and thereby the production cost can be further reduced.

The invention discloses a method for preparing 2,5-furan dicarboxylic acid through electro-catalytic oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural by a hydrotalcite-based layered catalyst. The method comprisesthe following steps: taking carbon fiber paper as a carrier, loading a layered hydroxide material on the carbon fiber paper through a hydrothermal reaction to serve as a working electrode, and implementing electro-catalytic oxidation by using a three-electrode system, thereby obtaining 2,5-furan dicarboxylic acid. The method has the following advantages: (1) the layered hydroxide catalyst is directly prepared by using a coprecipitation method, the synthesis method is simple and feasible, high-temperature calcination or high-pressure gas is not needed, and the energy consumption is low; (2) the carbon fiber paper is directly used as a substrate and has good contact with a catalyst material, so that the conductivity and the electron transmission efficiency are improved, and the cycling stability and the durability of the material are improved; and (3) the layered hydroxide material has an electro-catalytic oxidation performance on a biomass monomer, completes selective oxidation in a short time, and has excellent electro-catalytic oxygen production activity.

The invention discloses a method for preparing furaldehyde from a steam exploded stalk rinse solution catalyzed by using solid acid with an added polymerization inhibitor. The invention belongs to the technical field of bio-based chemical preparation. According to the invention, solid acid is used for replacing traditional strong acid in catalyzing pentose in steam exploded stalk rinse solution to subject to a cyclodehydration reaction, such that furaldehyde is prepared. During the reaction process, the polymerization inhibitor is added, such that side-reactions are inhibited. With modifications of the conditions, a maximum yield of furaldehyde reaches 37.5%, which is 68.1% of a theoretic yield. After the reaction, the solid catalyst can be repeatedly used, and can be reclaimed after high-temperature treatment. With the method, fractionated high-value utilization of three components of the stalks is realized. The solid acid is easy to be separated from a product, and can be reclaimed and reused, such that equipment corrosion can be avoided, and three-waste discharging can be reduced. With the added polymerization inhibitor, furaldehyde yield can be substantially improved. With the method for preparing furaldehyde from steam exploded stalk rinse solution catalyzed by using solid acid with added polymerization inhibitor, clean and high-efficiency conversion of the stalks is realized, such that a development trend of current green industries is satisfied. Therefore, the method has wide application prospect.
