Several matching exterior lighting systems for use on property having electrical service wiring. Lighting fixtures are made of pipe or wood, preferably PVC pipe or redwood. Several embodiments can be installed directly in the ground, while other embodiments can be installed on the vertical exterior surface of a building, or on the top of a wall. In all embodiments, the lamp and electrical connections are housed within the same enclosure, and no separate electrical box is needed. The embodiments made of pipe are coated with stucco, brick, stone, tile, wood, aluminum sheet, or copper sheet, to protect the pipe from environmental degradation. The preferred coating is stucco, and the invention includes a new method of applying stucco to a circular cylinder and manufacturing an article. All embodiments have elongated rectangular windows parallel both to the florescent light bulb, and to the axis of the cylinder, with translucent lenses to allow light to escape. The circular embodiments each have a single lens that covers all of the windows. In several embodiments, the florescent light and light bulbs can be accessed by removing the top of the light and lifting out the lamp which is hung from the top.

Protective coating for decorative vegetable material

The present invention is directed to a composition adapted to be applied to coat a surface area of a vegetable in order to retard environmental degradation thereof. The composition comprises a film-former, a fungicide and a thickener distributed in a carrier liquid. The fungicide may be present in less than one percent (1%) by weight. The composition may include a pH buffer operative to maintain the pH of the mixture between 8.5-10.5. The film-former is operative to coalesce to form a film covering the surface area of the vegetable which is operative to retard dehydration thereof. The fungicide is entrapped throughout the film and is operative to inhibit mildew and fungus growth thereon. The present invention also provides a method of formulating a composition according to the present invention, as well as a method of protecting a decorative vegetable material using a composition according to the present invention.

The invention discloses a degradable light-cured coating material and application of the same in a coated sustained / controlled-release fertilizer. The coating material comprises, by weight, 50 to 90% of a modified vegetable oil prepolymer, 5 to 45% of an active diluent and 1 to 5% of a photoinitiator. A preparation method for the coated sustained / controlled-release fertilizer from the degradable light-cured coating material comprises the following steps: uniformly spraying the degradable light-cured coating material on the surface of a granulated fertilizer; and carrying out ultraviolet light radiation curing so as to obtain the coated sustained / controlled-release fertilizer. The degradable light-cured coating material provided by the invention uses wide-source, low-price and regenerable vegetable oil and degradable acrylate as main raw materials and employs no organic solvent, so cost for the raw materials is low, dependence on petroleum resources is mitigated, and the coating material has the advantages of environmental degradation capability, no pollution to soil and water sources and environment friendliness. The sustained / controlled-release fertilizer prepared in the invention has the advantages of small usage amount of the coating material, short curing time of a coating, almost no need for heat energy, preparation through a disc and a common rotary drum, no need for extra investment, simple process, convenient operation and capacity of realizing continuous production.

The present invention includes polymer films that comprise lanthanum hexaboride and an epoxy agent. The lanthanum hexaboride and epoxy agent can be incorporated into or onto a polymer film in any suitable manner. The addition of an epoxy agent surprisingly provides a stabilization effect to the lanthanum hexaboride, which allows for the production of polymer films that advantageously absorb infrared radiation and resist environmental degradation. Polymer films thus produced have a significant number of applications, for example, but not limited to, display devices, protective coverings, and glazing film applications.
