A proximity detector employs a capacitive sensor, having: at least one detection antenna including numerous capacitive proximity sensors which each include a measuring electrode, the antenna being positioned close to an object or body; electronic elements for exciting the electrodes and processing the distance measurement signals originating from the capacitive sensors; and digital elements of controlling the electronic elements and of calculating the distances between the electrodes and the body or object using the processed measurement signals. The detection antenna also contains a single guard for all of the measuring electrodes. Moreover, the electronic elements have, for each detection antenna, a floating or floating excitation capacitive bridge which co-operates with polling elements in order sequentially to measure the respective capacitances between each electrode and the object or body to be measured.

The invention relates to a method for preparing nitrogen-doped porous carbon nanofiber cloth. The nitrogen-doped porous carbon nanofiber cloth is prepared by adding a nitrogen-rich compound into an organic solution, electrospinning and subsequent carbonizing-activating, has a self-support structure, omits preparation steps of size mixing, coating and the like, needs no conductive agent or binder, and can be directly used as the negative electrode of a lithium ion battery. The electrochemical performance of the negative electrode material of the lithium ion battery is improved by doping nitrogen and activating and forming pores; compared with a commercial graphite lithium ion battery negative electrode material, the nitrogen doping porous carbon nanofiber cloth used as the negative electrode material of the lithium ion battery has simple steps for preparing the electrode, has higher specific capacity, good power performance and circulatory stability. The method also can be used as the electrode material of super capacitors and other novel batteries.

Partial air inlet control strategy for air conditioning system

A system and method of selecting air intake between 100% fresh air mode and 100% recirculated air mode for optimum heating/cooling performance, fuel economy and/or high voltage (HV) battery power consumption is disclosed. The system and method includes a partial recirculation control strategy in which the air inlet door is moved progressively to any position by taking into account cooling/heating loads and cabin fogging probability. As cooling/heating loads increase the air inlet door moves toward 100% recirculation mode. As fogging probability increases the air inlet door moves toward 100% fresh air mode. By selectively choosing a position between 100% recirculation and 100% fresh air, fuel economy and/or HV battery power consumption is optimized without compromising passenger comfort or causing fogging on interior glass surfaces. In cooling applications the compressor load is minimized and air conditioning performance is improved due to the reduced evaporator cooling load. The direct result of this improvement is increased fuel economy in the case of the internal combustion vehicle, reduced engine on time in the case of the hybrid electric vehicle (due to reduced HV battery power consumption), and reduced HV battery power consumption in the case of the hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) and the electric vehicle (EV). In heating applications, as the heating load is reduced the fuel economy of the internal combustion (IC) engine will be improved, the engine on time is reduced in the case of the HEV, and HV battery power consumption is reduced in the case of the EV.

There is provided a method and a device for recording optical data able to improve recording power setting during recording by means of PWM with a small number of pulses. During the test recording, using a period of a recording channel clock Tw as the minimum unit, marks having different mark lengths of n1·Tw and n2·Tw (n1<n2) are recorded with the same number of m (m<n) light emitting pulses, while successively changing the maximum power Pw of the recording signals. The recorded marks are reproduced and the mark lengths T1 and T2 are measured from the reproduced signals. The recording power can be set by evaluating the deviations D1=T1−n1·Tw and D2=T2−n2·Tw.

Energy management method for isolated network running mode in micro network based on load interruption model

The invention discloses an energy management method for an isolated network running mode in a micro network based on a load interruption model. In the method, aiming at the isolated network running mode, the requirements of the micro network on maintenance of internal power balance and voltage stabilization are converted into economic indexes, the detailed load interruption model is created, and the power-on time guarantee is obtained through load bidding; and distributed power management is carried out by an energy storage unit model in view of economic and technical features at the same time. With the adoption of the energy management method, the running cycle is divided into a plurality of time periods, the load levels and the distributed power start-stop states of all the time periods are determined based on current prediction at first to guarantee power balance and enough power margin, then the distributed power and the energy storage unit are subjected to output adjustment based on short-term prediction to meet voltage and tidal current constraint. The error between the current prediction and the short-term prediction is removed through two layers of coordinated optimization models. The energy management method is suitable for the isolated network running energy management in a micro network system consisting of various energy storage equipments, loads and power supplies with multiple types and proportions.

Location profile is used as a way of optimizing power consumption of communication devices such as mobile handsets and smart phones which tend to have facilities for multiple wireless methods for communication. This is done by correlating the availability of the wireless signals to the specific zones in the user location profile. The method learns the wireless environment of each zone and subsequently while the device is detected to be in the same zone, intelligently prioritizes use of different communication methods for that zone, and turns off all unnecessary communication options, thereby reducing power consumption.
