450 results about "Power margin" patented technology

In telecommunication, the power margin is the difference between available signal power and the minimum signal power needed to overcome system losses and still satisfy the minimum input requirements of the receiver for a given performance level.

Distribution method of multi-carrier reinforced uplink power resource

The invention provides a method for distributing power resource of a multi-carrier enhanced uplink, which includes the steps that: a wireless network controller configures maximum uplink transmitted power of a user terminal for a base station; the wireless network controller configures allowable maximum uplink transmitted power for the user terminal and expected reference received power of each carrier; the user terminal reports dispatching information including remained power of each carrier; the base station, after receiving the reported dispatching information from the user terminal, distributes power for each carrier according to the reported dispatching information and the maximum uplink transmitted power. Therefore, by adopting the method of the invention, the remained power of each carrier of UE can be concerned without transcending the capacity of the UE; furthermore, the method of the invention can be applied to a TD-SCDMA system.

Apparatus and Method of Reporting Power Headroom in Wireless Communication System

A method and apparatus of reporting a power headroom in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment determines a power headroom based on a configured transmit power and transmits a power headroom report to a base station. The power headroom report includes a power headroom level indicating the power headroom and a backoff indicator indicating whether the user equipment applies power backoff due to power management.

Power headroom reporting for in-device coexistence interference avoidance

The invention relates methods for maximum output level reporting by a mobile terminal in a mobile communication system. The invention is also providing apparatus for performing these methods, and computer readable media the instructions of which cause the apparatus to perform the methods described herein. In order to allow for maximum output level reporting, a power management related power backoff value is first calculated for one radio technology by referring to a reception quality level set for communication via the other radio technology; thereafter a lower and upper bounds of a maximum output power level is calculated, then the maximum output power level (PCMAX) for communication is set within the determined lower and upper bounds and finally the set maximum output power level is reported to a base station wherein the lower bound (PCMAX<sub2>—< / sub2>L) may be calculated using MPR=0 dB, A-MPR=0 dB, and optionally ΔTc=0 dB.

The invention discloses an uplink power control method and an uplink power control system. The method comprises that: a base station configures a target received power parameter and a path loss compensation factor parameter corresponding to a reference service rate, regulates a power transmission enabling parameter (deltaMCS) according to the grade of a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) and transmits the deltaMCS to a terminal; and the base station subtracts target received power and path loss compensation from a transmitted power limit of the terminal to obtain power allowance, determines an available MCS grade of the terminal according to the power allowance and transmits the determined available MCS grade to the terminal. In the method and the system, the base station is supported to adaptively select an MCS grade suitable for user equipment (UE), and effective control over the uplink transmitted power of the UE is realized.

Mobile station device, communication system, communication method, and integrated circuit

In a system including at least one base station device, the base station device efficiently controls uplink signals. A mobile station device includes a path loss calculation unit 4051 configured to calculate path losses, each based on one of a plurality of types of reference signals received by a reception processing unit 401, a transmit power setting unit 4053 configured to set a desired transmit power for an uplink signal using the path losses calculated by the path loss calculation unit 4051, and a power headroom control unit 4055 configured to generate a power headroom using the desired transmit power set by the transmit power setting unit 4053, the power headroom being information concerning transmit power to spare, and configured to control transmission of the power headroom. The power headroom control unit 4055 independently controls a power headroom transmission process that uses each of the path losses calculated based on the plurality of types of reference signals, using an independent parameter for each power headroom transmission process.

Power control method and terminal equipment

The embodiment of the invention discloses a power control method and terminal equipment. The method includes the following steps: receiving configuration information sent by a base station, wherein the configuration information includes uplink power control parameters; estimating the transmitting power of an uplink shared channel of a beam set where the terminal equipment is located according to the uplink power control parameters; calculating the power headroom of the beam set where the terminal equipment is located according to the maximum transmitting power of the terminal equipment and thetransmitting power of the uplink shared channel of the beam set where the terminal equipment is located; generating a power headroom report according to the power headroom of the beam set where the terminal equipment is located, and sending the power headroom report to the base station; and calculating the power headroom of the beam set in a beam domain, and sending the power headroom to the basestation in the form of the power headroom report to ensure that the base station adjusts the power of the terminal equipment side. Based on the above method, the problems of increased interference between the terminal equipment, insufficient resource scheduling or decreased uplink throughput and the like caused by inaccurate power control can be avoided.
