A back for an office chair comprises a peripheral frame shaped generally to outline the back of an occupant in the chair; a lumbar base structure attached to the frame; and a lumbar back support for an occupant of the chair connected to the lumbar base structure and extending toward the lumbar area of an occupant through an adjustable connection. The adjustable connection helps to provide comfort to the occupant and comprises one or more of a detent to allow adjustment of the height of the back support in relation to the frame, a movable joint to allow rotary motion of the lumbar back support in relation to movement of the back of the occupant, and an extensible connection to allow adjustment of the distance between the lumbar base structure and the lumbar back support. The chair back may also comprise at least one movable and flexible LED light supported by the back for reading comfort and may contain electrical circuitry to supply power to the LED light. The light may be removable with an electrical plug-in connection.

A power interface is proposed, which keeps an adjustable power supply circuit in a conducting state even if the average current consumption of an attached load is below the adjustable power supply circuit's holding current requirement. The power interface makes use of the dynamic properties of adjustable power supply circuits. Due to the recovery time of the adjustable power supply circuit, it will stay in the conducting state even if there is no current flowing for a short while. The power interface makes use of this effect by interrupting and re-establishing a current flow from the adjustable power supply circuit.

A smart motor driving air cylinder device is characterized in that the smart motor driving air cylinder device comprises an outer pipe, a direct current motor, a reducer, a cylinder sleeve, a piston rod, a screw sleeve, a multi-head screw rod and a positioning sleeve. The cylinder sleeve can move back and forth relative to the outer pipe and comprises a small cylinder sleeve and a big cylinder sleeve, the small cylinder sleeve is located in the middle of the big cylinder sleeve, and an annular area is formed between the outer wall of the small cylinder sleeve and the inner wall of the big cylinder sleeve; the piston rod is hollow to form an inner cavity and a piston is formed at the front end of the piston rod, the small cylinder sleeve is sleeved with the piston rod, and the piston is located in the annular area between the outer wall of the small cylinder sleeve and the inner wall of the big cylinder sleeve; and one end of the multi-head screw rod is connected with the output end of the reducer, and the other end of the multi-head screw rod extends into the small cylinder sleeve and is connected and matched with the screw sleeve. Compared with the prior art, the smart motor driving air cylinder device has the advantages that the structure is compact, portability is achieved and the noise is low.
