Various methods and systems for utilizing design data in combination with inspection data are provided. One computer-implemented method for binning defects detected on a wafer includes comparing portions of design data proximate positions of the defects in design data space. The method also includes determining if the design data in the portions is at least similar based on results of the comparing step. In addition, the method includes binning the defects in groups such that the portions of the design data proximate the positions of the defects in each of the groups are at least similar. The method further includes storing results of the binning step in a storage medium.

Method for fabricating a biochip using the high density carbon nanotube film or pattern

The present invention relates to a CNT-biochip comprising a bio-receptor which is attached by means of an exposed chemical functional group on a surface of a high density CNT film or pattern which is produced by laminating repeatedly carbon nanotubes (CNT) by chemical bond on the substrate modified with amine groups, and a method for fabricating the same. According to the present invention, it is possible to fabricate various types of CNT-biochips by chemical or physicochemical bonding of various bio-receptors to a CNT pattern (or film) containing exposed carboxyl groups or a CNT pattern (or film) modified by various chemical functional groups. Also, it is possible to fabricate a CNT-biochip comprising bio-receptors attached evenly with high density on a surface of a CNT film where chemical functional groups are abundant and present evenly. Further, the CNT-biochip is applicable to next generation biochips which measure an electrical or electrochemical signal using both conductor and semiconductor properties of the CNT, thereby not needing labeling. Particularly, upon fluorescent measurement of DNA hybridization using the CNT-DNA chip according to the present invention, it is possible to show more distinct signals, thereby producing excellent results. The CNT-DNA chip is useful for genotyping, mutation detection, pathogen identification and the like.

An automated method for cutting a plurality of hole features using a plasma arc torch system can be implemented on a computer numerical controller. The automated method can include the steps of: a) cutting a lead-in for a hole feature using a lead-in command speed based on a diameter of that hole feature and b) cutting a perimeter for the hole feature using a perimeter command speed greater than the corresponding lead-in command speed for the hole feature. The automated method can also include the step c) of repeating steps a) and b) for each additional hole feature having a same diameter or a different diameter.

A CMOS image sensor with a many million pixel count. Applicants have developed techniques for combining its continuous layer photodiode CMOS sensor technology with CMOS integrated circuit lithography stitching techniques to provide digital cameras with an almost unlimited number of pixels. A preferred CMOS stitching technique exploits the precise alignment accuracy of CMOS stepper processes by using specialized mask sets to repeatedly produce a single pixel array pattern many times on a single silicon wafer with no pixel array discontinuities. The single array patterns are stitched together lithographically to form a pixel array of many million pixels. A continuous multilayer photodiode layer is deposited over the top of the many million pixel array to provide a many million pixel sensor with a fill factor of 100 percent or substantially 100 percent.

The invention relates to a method for deep penetration laser welding of a plate under the assistance of ultrasound. The method is characterized by comprising the following steps that firstly, first base metal (10) and second base metal (11) are machined to form butt joint end faces, and a series of inclined semicircular grooves are machined; secondly, the first base metal (10) and the second base metal (11) are in butt joint and are clamped, and a series of inclined blind holes are formed in a weld bead; thirdly, a first ultrasonic amplitude-changing rod (3) is pressed to the upper surface of a workpiece to be welded; fourthly, a second ultrasonic amplitude-changing rod (4) is fixed to one side of a laser welding head; fifthly, an ultrasonic generation device is started, the ultrasonic frequency is adjusted; sixthly, a laser beam (5) perpendicularly irradiates the upper surface of the workpiece, and the welding process is completed under continuous ultrasonic vibration; and seventhly, after welding is completed, ultrasonic vibration is maintained for 1-2 minutes. In the method, due to the pre-formed inclined blind holes and ultrasonic vibration, weld joint root leakage caused by molten pool downward flowing driven by local evaporation back flushing pressure of the front edge walls of the small holes is avoided.
