User Profile Management System

The present invention provides a user profile which takes a user's situation into consideration. A management device 100 creates, in response to a request from applications 110, a new user profile (hereinafter referred to as “comprehensive user profile”) based on a plurality of user profiles, and provides it to the applications 110. The management device 100 always monitors a user's situation, directly or indirectly correlates the user's situation at the time that the user profile is registered with the user profile, and stores the same. Because the management device creates the comprehensive user profile based on the user profile corresponding to the current user situation, the comprehensive user profile reflects the user's situation which changes from time to time.

In a radio network environment, reducing interference among overlapping cells

Disclosed is a method for a femtocell to reduce interference with an overlapping macrocell. The femtocell determines soft-frequency-reuse (“SFR”) information of the macrocell. From that information, the femtocell determines which frequency sub-channels are assigned by the macrocell for its cell-center users and which frequency sub-channels are assigned for cell-edge users. (Cell-edge users are given a higher transmission power profile in order to overcome potential interference with neighboring macrocells.) Then, the femtocell selects from the cell-center user frequency sub-channels for transmission to the femtocell's users. By transmitting on the cell-center user frequency sub-channels, the femtocell reduces interference with the overlapping macrocell. The femtocell continues to update its knowledge of the macrocell's SFR information and re-assigns frequency sub-channels as the SFR changes. If the macrocell detects that one of its cell-center users is “close enough” to the femtocell, then the macrocell re-assigns the cell-center user as a cell-edge user to overcome interference.

Intrinsic channel FET

ActiveUS20130069164A1Reduces Random Dopant Fluctuation phenomenonReduce variation of threshold voltageTransistorSolid-state devicesCMOSPolycrystalline silicon
A novel semiconductor transistor is presented. The semiconductor structure has a MOSFET like structure, with the difference that the device channel is formed in an intrinsic region, so as to effectively decrease the impurity and surface scattering phenomena deriving from a high doping profile typical of conventional MOS devices. Due to the presence of the un-doped channel region, the proposed structure greatly reduces Random Doping Fluctuation (RDF) phenomena decreasing the threshold voltage variation between different devices. In order to control the threshold voltage of the device, a heavily doped poly-silicon or metallic gate is used. However, differently from standard CMOS devices, a high work-function metallic material, or a heavily p-doped poly-silicon layer, is used for a n-channel device and a low work-function metallic material, or heavily n-doped poly-silicon layer, is used for a p-channel FET.

Metamaterial clad dual-frequency phased array antenna

The invention discloses a metamaterial cladding dual-frequency phased array antenna, comprising a cladding structure and an antenna array, the cladding structure is composed of M×N rectangular mushroom-shaped claddings arranged periodically, and the antenna array is coupled by periodically arranged slots The antenna is composed of the same number of slot-coupling antennas as the number of rectangular mushroom-shaped claddings, and each slot-coupling antenna is located vertically below each rectangular mushroom-shaped cladding. The invention solves the problem that the traditional phased array antenna cannot achieve high gain and large-angle scanning in two frequency bands at the same time, and the antenna can realize multi-frequency band operation and low-frequency to high-frequency scanning compensation, so that the scanning angle is greatly improved. There is almost no scanning blind area in the array direction, which is suitable for multi-functional antenna systems.

Reducing the size of a high resolution profile lookup table

What is disclosed is a system and method for generating a destination profile LUT. In a manner more fully described herein, a high resolution LUT (e.g., 100-cube LUT) is received. Regions of high curvature of the gamut of an image output device are identified. A non-parametric dynamic optimization node selection method is utilized to select a subset of nodes from the high resolution profile LUT which captures these nonlinearities. Down-sampling the high resolution LUT produces a low resolution LUT. The low resolution LUT is up-sampled to a size of the high resolution LUT to obtain a reconstructed LUT. An error is then calculated between the reconstructed LUT and high resolution LUT. The process of node selection is iteratively repeated until all the subsets of nodes are considered. A destination profile LUT is then generated from the subset of nodes with the least error.
