A monochrome bitmap is a type of digital image that displays only a single color, usually black. This is a type of one particular file format, which is referred to as a bitmap (BMP), and is often used in the creation of simple graphics.

Dynamic image processing method and device and medium

A motion image processing method and device for authenticating a user using a specific device, using motion information of an object. Time series monochrome images, obtained by photographing an object, using a camera, are input. An object is detected from an initial frame of the input time series images, using a basic shape characteristic, and a plurality of reference points to be tracked are automatically determined in the object. Then, corresponding points of the respective reference points are detected in an image frame other than the initial frame among the input time series images. Subsequently, motion information of a finger is calculated, based on the result of tracking the respective reference points and an assumption of limited motion in a 3D plane. Based on the calculated motion parameter, a solid object is subjected to coordinate conversion, and displayed if necessary. As a result of the tracking, a reference point in each frame is updated. Tracking, motion parameter calculation, and displaying are repeated with respect to subsequent frames.

Electronic endoscope system with color-balance alteration process

An electronic endoscope system includes a video scope having a solid-state image sensor for successively producing a frame of color image-pixel signals, and an image-signal processor for producing a color video signal based on the frame of color image-pixel signals. A calculation system calculates a difference value between a value of a central single-color image-pixel signal and an average of values of one selected from single-color image-pixel signals surrounding the central single-color image-pixel signal. A color-balance alteration system alters the value of the central single-color image-pixel signal based on the difference value calculated by the calculation system. A selection system performs the selection of the circumferential image-pixel signals such that the circumferential image-pixel signals to be selected are farther from the central image-pixel signal, as a spatial frequency of an endoscope image to be reproduced based on the color video signals is lower.

Method for recording and viewing stereoscopic images in color using multichrome filters

The aim of the invention is to create techniques for the encoding, production and viewing of stereograms, supplemented by methods for selecting certain optical filters needed in these novel techniques, thus providing a human observer with stereograms each of which consist of a single image for viewing through special filter pairs, the stereogram encoding essentially the full color information of the original stereogram or of the original scene, while at the same time encoding the full parallactic depth of the original stereogram or the parallactic depth that would normally be found in a conventional stereogram recorded of the scene. The invention makes use of a color-based encoding technique and viewing filters selected so that the human observer receives, in one eye, an image of nearly full color information, in the other eye, an essentially monochrome image supplying the parallactic differences prescribed by the stereoscopic principle and supplementing the color perception. For selecting the filters, the invention suggests an auxiliary test. For encoding the stereograms, the invention suggests a special process of channel separation and replacement. For color correction in the resulting image, the invention suggests a multistage process. Generally speaking, the best results are obtained when all of these are used together.
