The invention provides a primary processing method for loofah sponge. The primary processing method for the loofah sponge comprises the steps of (1) peeling: immersing the whole loofah into 8 to 12 percent of strong-base water solution, and soaking at 70 to 90 DEG C until the loofah peels are softened and rotted; (2) flushing: removing the loofah peels of the loofah obtained in the step (1), flushing through water for 2 to 3 times, and obtaining loofah sponge to be treated; (3) decoloring: immersing the whole loofah sponge to be treated obtained in the step (2) into 5 to 10 percent of bleaching agent water solution, soaking until the green color is fully removed, and obtaining bleached loofah sponge; (4) flushing: flushing the bleached loofah sponge obtained through the step (3) through water for 2 to 3 times, and obtaining flushed loofah sponge; (5) whitening: immersing the flushed loofah sponge obtained in the step (4) into 3 to 5 percent of softener water solution with a whitening function, and soaking until the flushed loofah sponge becomes white; and (6) drying: drying in the air, and removing loofah seeds. The primary processing method is short in processing time, and the product is uniformly white in color and is not easy to yellow.
