The invention discloses a preparation method of a lotus extractum, which comprises the following steps: 1) leaching fresh lotus and lotus leaf in a weight ratio of 1:(0.1-0.5) in petroleum ether for 24-48 hours, filtering the leaching solution, and taking the filtrate, wherein the petroleum ether is 5-8 times of the total weight of the lotus and lotus leaf; and 2) removing the petroleum ether from the filtrate with a rotary evaporator under reduced pressure to obtain a primary extractum, and carrying out low-temperature sterilization on the primary extractum to obtain the lotus extractum finished product. The petroleum ether used as the leaching agent can sufficiently extract the subtle fragrance component in the lotus petal and lotus leaf; the vacuum distillation for petroleum ether removal by using the rotary evaporator can effectively remove the petroleum ether; the whole preparation process is performed under lower temperature conditions, thereby maximally maintaining the aromatic components; and thus, the prepared lotus extractum is enriched with light subtle fragrance of lotus.
