The invention relates to a preparation method of a functional telechelic polymer with controllable double-bond content of a main chain, and particularly relates to a preparation method of a telechelic polymer with terminal hydroxyl. The preparation method is characterized in that double bonds on a molecule main chain of hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene are hydrogenated by using trisrhodium chloride, and then through condition control, a telechelic polymer with controllable double-bond content of the main chain is obtained; the hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene is dissolved in dimethylbenzene in a proportion of 12.5-50%, and then reaction is carried out for 2-10 h under the conditions that the pressure is 0.5-3.0 MPa and the temperature is 70-150 DEG C, wherein the application amount of a catalyst is 0.5-1.5%, and the application amount of triphenylphosphine is 1-4 times as large as that of the catalyst. The preparation method disclosed by the invention has the advantages that a controllable double-bond containing functional telechelic polymer is prepared by using a hydrogenation and modification method, and the method has a main advantage that the double-bond content of a molecule chain of the functional telechelic polymer can be controlled as required through changing experiment conditions.

Ruthenium and osmium carbene compounds that are stable in the presence of a variety of functional groups and can be used to catalyze olefin metathesis reactions on unstrained cyclic and acyclic olefins are disclosed. Also disclosed are methods of making the carbene compounds. The carbene compounds are of the formulawhere M is Os or Ru; R<1> is hydrogen; R is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, and substituted or unsubstituted aryl; X and X<1> are independently selected from any anionic ligand; and L and L<1> are independently selected from any neutral electron donor. The ruthenium and osmium carbene compounds of the present invention may be synthesized using diazo compounds, by neutral electron donor ligand exchange, by cross metathesis, using acetylene, using cumulated olefins, and in a one-pot method using diazo compounds and neutral electron donors. This invention relates to a method for preparing dihydroxyl-terminated telechelic polymer. The method uses an initiator that can be easily hydrolyzed and is protected by silicane protective groups. The initiator has such advantages as high stability and high initiation efficiency, and has wide industrial applications. The initiator can initiate anion polymerization of 1,3-dialkene, styrene and acrylate monomers to form dihydroxyl-terminated homopolymers and copolymers. The synthesized dihydroxyl-terminated polymers have such advantages as clear structure, controllable molecular weight, controllable chain microstructure and high functional yield.

A method for forming a fuel cell component includes the steps of providing a two-part sealant having a first part comprising an initiator and a second part comprising a polymerizable material; applying the first part of the sealant to a substrate of a first fuel cell component; applying the second part of the sealant to a substrate of a second fuel cell component; juxtaposingly aligning the substrates of the first and second fuel cell components; and curing the sealant to bond the first and second fuel components to one and the other. The initiator may be an actinic radiation initiator, whereby the sealant is cured by actinic radiation. The polymerizable material may be a polymerizable monomer, oligomer, telechelic polymer, functional polymer and combinations thereof. Desirably, the functional group is epoxy, allyl, vinyl, acrylate, methacrylate, imide, amide, urethane and combinations thereof. Useful fuel cell components to be bonded include a cathode flow field plate, an anode flow field plate, a resin frame, a gas diffusion layer, an anode catalyst layer, a cathode catalyst layer, a membrane electrolyte, a membrane-electrode-assembly frame, and combinations thereof.

Method of preparing telechelic polymer

The invention discloses a method of preparing a telechelic polymer. The method comprises the following steps: mixing a metallorganic compound with a macro-molecule polymer having a main chain containing a carbon-carbon double bond, and obtaining a telechelic polymer after broken chain reaction. As compared with the prior art, through the principle of metallorganic compound activation carbon-carbon bond reaction, a telechelic polymer with an end having a responsive function group is obtained via carbon-carbon bond breaking by the metallorganic compound and the macro-molecule polymer, a method is provided for recovery of high added value of a waste high-molecular polymer, important meanings are exhibited for recovery and treatment of crosslinking rubber and waste tires, and a potential application prospect and remarkable social and economic benefits are presented. The result of an experiment shows that the molecular weight of the telechelic polymer prepared by the method is 500Da~10kDa, the molecular weight distribution index ranges from 1.5 to 5, and the functionality is from 1%~99%.

The tearing-resistant biaxially oriented polyester greenhouse film is prepared from terephthalic acid, ethylene glycol, modified dihydric alcohol, a telechelic polymer, a catalyst, a first stabilizing agent, an opening agent and a second stabilizing agent. The production method comprises weighing terephthalic acid, ethylene glycol, modified dihydric alcohol, the catalyst, the opening agent and the second stabilizing agent according to a certain ratio, mixing the weighed materials to obtain a uniform mixture, putting the mixture into a reactor, heating the mixture for an esterification reaction, then adding the telechelic polymer and the first stabilizing agent into the reaction product, carrying out high vacuum polycondensation, discharging the product, carrying out cooling, carrying out grain-sized dicing to obtain polyester for a greenhouse film and carrying out bidirectional stretching on the polyester to obtain the tearing-resistant polyester greenhouse film. According to the present invention, first mercaptopropyl triethoxysilane (MPT) and N-isopropyl acrylamide are reacted to generate semi-telechelic polymers, then the semi-telechelic polymers are coupled with ultrafine colloidal silica particles, so composite particles with poly-N-isopropyl acrylamide as the shells and colloidal silica particles as the cores are prepared. Differential scanning calorimetry tests show that the composite particles are temperature-sensitive. The prepared composite particles are used as a stationary phase in high pressure liquid chromatography, and water is used as a main ingredient of a mobile phase, and naphthalene derivatives are separated successfully through the control of column temperatures, achieving good separation effect.
