A guard for a syringe that includes a needle, a needle protector cap, and a barrel with an outer diameter smaller than the needle protector cap. The guard includes a body having a cavity for receiving the syringe therein, and a shield that is slidable between an unguarded position wherein the needle is exposed and a guarded position covering the needle. One or more tabs in a wall of the body are deflectable from a first position wherein the tabs extend along the wall or radially outwardly from the wall, to a second position wherein the tabs are directed inwardly into the cavity for contacting the barrel of the syringe. In other embodiments, a collar or other radial element may be provided on the barrel of the syringe to provide lateral support within the cavity of the body.

According to the method, a video is used as input data; and several steps of feature matching, key frame selection, three-dimensional point cloud generation, template mapping, and texture mapping and the like are carried out to obtain a human body surface three-dimensional model. Because of the motion recovery structure technology, the reconstruction process is substantially simplified, the burdens of the data collection people and the collected people can be reduced, and the requirements on the instrument and equipment are reduced. Meanwhile, a precise reconstruction result can be obtained. A complete human body surface model is obtained based on template mapping; and thus the method has high robustness on the human body texture information missing and self-shielding. Therefore, only a plurality of control points need to be marked manually before template mapping from the data input to model output and other process is completed automatically. The model that is obtained based on reconstruction can be applied to the game and animation design, movie and television special efficacy, and personalized virtual fit and the like.

Locator antenna with conductive bobbin

An antenna useful in an antenna array of a man-portable buried utility locator includes a flexible bobbin made of copper foil. The bobbin has a plurality of axially spaced grooves and an axially extending gap formed therein. A layer of insulation surrounds an outer surface of the bobbin. A conductive wire is disposed in the grooves and wound around the bobbin over the layer of insulation to form a plurality of axially spaced sub-coils. A layer of copper-foil tape having an insulating backing is wound about the conductive wire and has a second gap aligned with the gap in the bobbin. A layer of a low dielectric material is wound about the copper-foil tape. The antenna provides more antenna wire surface for an equivalent coil cross-sectional area, compared to prior art antennas, thus yielding greater sensitivity. The construction of the antenna provides a series of Faraday-shielded sub-coils, which yield a greater useful antenna bandwidth by moving the inherent resonance of each coil to a higher frequency. The construction of the antenna also reduces inherent winding capacitance and provides a self-shielding effect that further improves sensitivity.

The inductor may be formed partially in at least one interconnect structure between the first integrated circuit die and the second integrated circuit die. In at least one embodiment of the invention, the inductor is self-shielding and is configured to generate a magnetic field in response to a current flowing through coupled conductor portions of the self-shielding inductor. The magnetic field of the self-shielding inductor is substantially confined to a core region of the self-shielding inductor.

According to the invention, a magnetic field gradiometer detector for detecting a material of interest positioned in a detecting region outside the detector includes a transmitter for generating an output signal at a selected frequency, a receiver for detecting the signal, a probe, and a switch coupling the receiver and transmitter with the probe that alternately connects and disconnects the receiver and transmitter to the probe, switching between transmitting and receiving. The probe includes tuning elements and a gradiometer coil array. The gradiometer coil array includes a first surface coil and a second surface coil wound in an opposite sense, the probe having a first side and an opposite second side, with the first and second surface coils configured asymmetrically such that the probe projects a magnetic field in the outside detecting region adjacent to the first side while being self-shielded on the second side. Accordingly, the material of interest is detected with increased sensitivity and accuracy in the detecting region with the detector shielded from outside RF sources.

An improved guard for a medical cartridge, such as a unit dose pre-filled glass syringe, comprising a body for receiving the cartridge, and a shield slidably attached to the body which are pre-assembled and ready to receive a cartridge therein. The body has a mechanism on a proximal end thereof which holds the cartridge therein. The body and shield have cooperating detents and detent pockets which allow the shield to be directed distally, from an unguarded position in which the needle on the cartridge is uncovered for delivery of medication, to a guarded position in which the needle is permanently covered for disposal. The body may also include a substantially rectangular-shaped finger grip on its proximal end for receiving a similarly shaped proximal flange on the cartridge, whereby the cartridge is received in a predetermined orientation. The body may also include one or more ribs within the cavity for accommodating a cartridge with a large needle cap, such as a 0.5 mL capacity pre-filled syringe. In addition, the guard may include a finger grip plug lockably attachable to the proximal end of the body, and a plunger insertable through the finger grip plug to engage a piston in a cartridge not having its own plunger. The plunger may include a one-way locking member to prevent removal of the plunger from the finger grip plug after assembly.

A system in package (SiP) is disclosed that uses an EMI shield to inhibit EMI or other electrical interference on the components within the SiP. A metal shield may be formed over the SiP. The metal shield may be electrically coupled to a ground layer in a printed circuit board (PCB) to form the EMI shield around the SiP. The substrate of the SiP may include at least some metallization along vertical walls in the end portions of the substrate. The metallization may provide a large contact area for coupling the metal shield to a ground ring coupled to the ground layer in the PCB. The metallization along the vertical walls in the end portions of the substrate may be formed as through-metal vias in a common substrate before singulation to form the SiP.

The method comprises the following steps of: (1) pre-treating a base material: setting the thickness to be 3-50mm, sanding and removing dust; (2) compounding colored paints: preparing an electron beam cured colored paint and preparing an electron beam cured highlight colored paint; (3) performing roller coating and curing: performing accurate roller coating of the electron beam cured colored paint with the coating film thickness of 50-100 microns, and performing radiation curing for 1-2 seconds by using low-energy self-shielding electron beams of which the radiation dose is 50-150kGy; and (4) performing shower coating and curing: performing shower coating of electron beams to cure the highlight colored paint with the coating film thickness of 100-200 microns, and after vacuum coating of a highlight film, performing radiation curing for 1-2 seconds by using the low-energy self-shielding electron beams of which the radiation dose is 50-150kGy. The method has the advantages that the energy consumption is low, the production efficiency is high, the curing speed is high, the processing temperature is low, an inert atmosphere is not needed, a photoinitiator and a photolysis product are not left, and a more environment-friendly effect is achieved.
