The invention belongs to a calibration method for a detector used for monitoring ion beam radiation. The cross calibration method used for the online beam monitoring detector in three-dimensional spot scanning beam distribution includes the following steps: (1) measuring response of a large-area parallel-plate ionization chamber to monoenergetic ion pen-shaped beams; (2) forming a calibration field with a diameter of 80 to 120 mm through spot scanning and measuring accumulated dose of a mini-size absolute dose ionization chamber in the center of the dose calibration field; (3) establishing a mapping relation between a central reading and a central dose; (4) calibrating practically. The cross calibration method used for the online beam monitoring detector in the three-dimensional spot scanning beam distribution provided by the invention has advantages that (1) frequency of using a complicated scanning system is reduced and experiment errors and uncertainty of dose calibration in the spot scanning beam distribution are reduced; (2) a complicated conventional method is replaced with the simple and quick method, so that online beam monitoring detector calibrating time is reduced and working efficiency is improved; (3) ion beam three-dimensional spot scanning beam distribution technology is improved and developed, so that convenience is made for adjusting and controlling exposure doses of different scanning spots in an exposure area for realizing three-dimensional intensity modulated irradiation.

The broadband double circular polarization feed source is applied to a low-frequency array paraboloid of a new-generation centimeter-decimeter wave radio heliograph. The heliograph is composed of 40 single reflecting surface antennas with the frequency band of 0.4GHz to 2GHz and 60 single reflecting surface antennas with the frequency band of 2Ghz to 15GHz and has the advantages of being high in space, high in frequency, high in time resolution and the like. When the frequency band is in a range of 0.4GHz to 2GHz, determination is made by physical properties of an observed object, and the heliograph needs to have a comprehensive imaging capacity in a broadband range. The feed source is an important component of an analog receiving system at the front end of the heliograph. The feed source used by a current project is novel in shape and small in size and reduces shielding of a reflecting surface in the whole broadband range so that efficiency of the antennas can be greatly improved. A standing wave of the tested feed source is smaller than 1.5, an axial ratio is smaller than 1.5dB, and a phase center is not changed along with frequency and is basically unrelated to the frequency. The broadband double circular polarization feed source of the radio heliograph is simple in structure and reliable in quality, and electric performance is good in stability.

An approach for preparing a vaccine using ultraviolet radiation is described. Aspects of this approach involve multiple iterations of inactivation of the vaccine using an ultraviolet radiation source at a set of different wavelengths and dosages. A recognition test of the vaccine using the set of different wavelengths and dosages is performed after the multiple iterations of inactivation. A controller compares results from the inactivation test and the recognition test to determine an area of acceptable radiation dosages and wavelengths generated from the ultraviolet radiation source that irradiate the live organisms without affecting efficacy and safety of the vaccine. The area of acceptable ultraviolet radiation dosages and wavelengths is representative of a difference between an ultraviolet radiation dosage that is required for inactivation and an ultraviolet radiation dosage that leads to a loss of recognition.
