Method for quantifying local bone changes

A method and system for volumetric quantification of local bone changes includes the steps of loading at least a first and second (cone-beam) computed tomography three dimensional image, registering the first three dimensional image and second three dimensional image to one coordinate system, selecting a region of interest in one of the first three dimensional image or the second three dimensional image. For the first three dimensional image and the second three dimensional image, segmenting the local bone within the region of interest by segmenting voxels related to air and / or soft tissues within the region of interest and attributing these voxels to an outside region, while the volume formed by the remaining volume represent the local bone or the local bone with soft tissue, and calculating of the volume of local bone in the first three dimensional image and the volume of local bone in the second three dimensional image and subtracting the first volume from the second volume and defining the difference as the local bone change or the change in local bone with soft tissue.

Method for recovering local music information based on audio fingerprinting technology

The invention discloses a method for recovering local music information based on audio fingerprinting technology. The method comprises the following steps of: firstly, creating a music database on a server side, wherein the music database takes audio fingerprints as the indexes of corresponding music information; inputting, by a user at a client, a local path of music files which are needed to be supplemented with missing information; extracting, by the client, the audio fingerprints of the music files in the path, and transmitting the audio fingerprints obtained to the server side; performing comparison lookup in the music database by the server side, and transmitting the information of music corresponding to the audio fingerprints to the client; and after the client obtains the missing information, providing the missing information for the user to look over, or directly modifying the music files, or rearranging the music files. With the method of the invention, the user can conveniently re-obtain various kinds of missing information of the local music files; and the method is not only simple and quick, but also accurate.

Method for calculating a local extremum, preferably a local minimum, of a multidimensional function E(x1, x2, ..., xn)

The invention relates to a Method for calculating a local extremum, preferably a local minimum, of a multidimensional function E(x1, x2, . . . , xn) which is interpretable as a function of potential energy with spatial coordinates (x1, x2, . . . , xn), using an iteration process based on a molecular dynamics based quenching method comprising the following steps: a) Calculating a trajectory X(ti) at discrete times ti=Σiδti starting from an assigned initial coordinate X(0) on basis of a gradient fk=δE / δxk with k=1, . . . ,n and a time derivatives of the coordinates vk=dxk / dt using fxk=mxk dvxk / dt in which mxk represent masses at the spatial coordinates and vxk=dxk / dt represents velocity b) Performing a molecular dynamics based quenching method for analysing said function E(x1, x2, . . . , xn) of existence of a local extremum, in case of reaching a local extremum abort processing and / or select a new initial coordinate and proceed further from step a) c) Calculating at each iteration time step δti F=(fxk) and (k=1, . . . ,n) representing a global force vector field acting in the spatial coordinates, V=(vxk) representing a velocity vector field, P=F·V representing power Setting V=(1−α)×V+α×(F / |F|)·|V|α is a dimensionless variable and amounts a given initial value αstart at first iteration time step In case of P<0: V is set to zero, α becomes αstart, δti will be reduced and return to step b) In case of P≧0: Analysing whether the number of conducted iteration steps since the last detected case of P<0 exceeds a given minimum number Nmin, in case of “no” returning to step b) and in case of “yes” increasing δti, decreasing α and return to step b).

Reusable End-Capped Bipyridine Compound Useful For Selective Detection Of Cyanide Anions And Process For Preparation Thereof

The present invention describes the development of a end-capped bipyridine compound having formula A and the zinc complex having formula B. The assay having formula 1 can be used to estimate and quantify the amount of zinc ions by monitoring the fluorescence changes. The assay with formula 1 can be use to image and detect Zn2+ ions in MCF7 cell lines. The zinc complex of formula 2 and 4 can be used as a fluorescent sensor for cyanide anions using analyte replacement protocol. The assay with formula 2 is selective only to cyanide anions even in the presence of other competing anions. The assay with formula 3 having bright green solid state emission is used for the preparation of formula 4. The orange fluorescent powder of assay with formula 4 is used for the selective detection of CN− ions in aqueous solution.
