Communication adapter device, communication adapter, method for write in nonvolatile memory, and electric apparatus used for the same, and rom writer

The present invention relates to a communication adapter apparatus that connects electrical apparatuses, sensors, and other apparatuses to a network. In order to obtain a communication adapter apparatus that is capable of realizing simplification of setting at the time of execution of works, simplification of execution of works, reduction of power consumption, and simplification of system setting, the communication adapter apparatus according to the invention is a communication adapter that connects one of plural connection object apparatuses having an apparatus object consisting of information, which is based on functions of the apparatuses, and operable control items, respectively and a network to which a controller for remotely controlling the connection object apparatus is connected, the communication adapter including: communication control means that controls transmission and reception of data to and from the network; apparatus communication managing means that copies and saves the apparatus object, saves a procedure for a communication service of the communication control means, and makes it possible to use the connection object apparatus from the network using these saved data; and apparatus interface means that is defined by standards common to all the apparatuses in order to make all the plural communication object apparatuses connectable.

Apparatus and method for x-ray phase contrast imaging

An x-ray phase contrast imaging apparatus and method of operating the same. The apparatus passes x-rays generated by an x-ray source through, in succession, a source grating, an object of interest, a phase grating, and an analyzer grating. The x-ray source, the source grating, the phase grating, and the analyzer grating move as a single entity relative to an object of interest. The phase grating and the analyzer grating remain in fixed relative location and fixed relative orientation with respect to one another. The detected x-rays are converted to a time sequence of electrical signals. In some cases, the apparatus is controlled, and the electrical signals are analyzed by, by a general purpose programmable computer provided with instructions recorded on a machine readable medium. One or more x-ray phase contrast images of the object of interest are generated, and can be recorded or displayed.

Process and system for fabricating a reinforcing preform

Process and system for fabricating a multidirectional fibrous reinforcement designed to be a porous preform for producing a part made of a composite material. Reinforcing thread is deposited in successive layers on a support surface. A binder is provided in association with the reinforcing thread so as to adhere the reinforcing thread to the support surface and the successive layers of thread. The reinforcing thread is pressed against the support surface in a manner that exerts a pressure substantially perpendicular to the support surface at the point where the thread is deposited. The binder may be pre-applied to the support surface or it can be applied simultaneously with the reinforcement thread.

Method, Particle Sensor and Particle Sensor System for Measuring Particles

A method and a particle sensor for measuring particles, especially soot particles, in which the particles to be detected accumulate in a measuring region of the particle sensor. The particles located in the gas stream or the particles already accumulated in the measuring region are burned by a combustion device, the combustion being controlled via a control signal from a control unit, which is electrically connected to a measuring device, in such a way that the quantity of the particles adhering in the measuring region remains constant. The physical variable of the combustion device, which leads to the controlled combustion of the particles, is drawn upon as the signal amplitude of the particle sensor.

Generating social graphs using coincident geolocation data

The present disclosure provides a method and a system for generating social graphs using coincident geolocation data. In particular, a method is provided in which an entity retrieves information from one or more databases. The information includes geolocation data for a plurality of entities generated over a predetermined period of time. The information is analyzed to determine coincident geolocation information of the entities. The coincident geolocation information is then analyzed to determine social relationships of the entities. One or more social graphs are then generated based on the social relationships of the entities. The social graphs comprise multi-node graphs having edges or connectors linking the nodes. The entities are represented by the nodes. A social relationship between the entities is represented by the edges or connectors linking the nodes. The attributes of the edges or connectors are based upon information describing a characteristic of the relationship.
