Basic Matrix, Coder/Encoder and Generation Method of the Low Density Parity Check Codes

The invention relates to a base matrix, a encoder / decoder of Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) codes and a generation method thereof. The encoder / decoder is determined uniquely by the parity check matrix of the LDPC codes. With different code sizes, said parity check matrix can be obtained by expanding different base matrixes, and also can be obtained by expanding a unique base matrix after correction. Elements of said base matrix must meet an inequation in which the girth value is up to the standard, e.g. when girth ≧6, for any element i, j, k, l in the matrix which forms the short loop having a length of 4 in anticlockwise, there are always mod(i−j+k−l, z) unequal to 0. By this invention, the girth of the constructed base matrix is made as large as possible, the amount of the shortest loops is as few as possible when it is the same girth, thus the curve of bit error ratio (BER) is dropped quickly, the error floor of the LDPC codes is eliminated effectively, and the optimal performance of the LDPC codes is obtained.

Motor vehicle license plate with integral wireless tracking and data dissemination device

An apparatus that provides for the wireless receiving, storing and dissemination of digital data as part of a motor vehicle license plate is disclosed. The apparatus allows for the querying of data typically associated with driving privileges, such as social security numbers, insurance policy information, addresses, registration information, driving records, driving restrictions and the like. Data would be passed wirelessly upon receipt of a valid request signal from a law enforcement vehicle. Such reporting is viewed as a means to reduce data entry and eliminate errors thus freeing the law enforcement officer to perform other duties, or perform multiple queries in the same time as it takes to perform one in a conventional manner. Remote inputs from alarm systems and panic buttons allow for activation of the transmitter portion to alert law enforcement authorities of a possible crime. Such emergency reporting can only be acknowledged and deactivated by authorized authorities.

Method and Apparatus for Medical X-radiography

The invention relates to a method for eliminating error elements caused by movements of an imaged object in X-radiography, said method comprising performing X-radiography on an imaged object for compiling three-dimensional X-radiographic information. The method comprises creating a model geometry of an X-ray imaging process, said creation work comprising a determination of the location for two or more position markers in a set of coordinates graded for an X-ray imaging apparatus. When X-radiography of an imaged object is completed, predictions are worked out regarding the locations of position markers during the imaging session. The locations and predictions determined on the basis of the model geometry are used as a basis for defining projected or most likely locations for the position markers and an automatic position markers identification method is applied for finding the locations of position markers from within a search area in the X-radiographic information. When the locations of at least two position markers have been found with the automatic position markers identification method, a minimization of offsets between the projected locations of position markers and the locations of position markers looked up by the automatic identification method is performed by searching for a minimum point of the function for eliminating the error elements resulting from movements of an imaged object.

Method for writing streaming audiovisual data to a disk drive

A method for writing streaming audiovisual data to a disk drive is performed by organizing the data into clusters and commencing writing the clusters to the first physical sector encountered after the read/write head has settled to the desired track on the rotating disk. A cluster contains a number of data blocks corresponding to the number of physical sectors in an integer number of tracks on the disk, so that the writing of a single cluster is the writing to an integer number of full tracks on the disk. Even though the disk drive may have a physical index to identify the first physical sector in all the tracks, the writing of cluster data takes place without regard to index position. During interleaving of audiovisual data, when multiple recording tasks are cycled until all the tasks are completed, the clusters in the first portion of the first task are written during the first interleave period, the head is then positioned to another track where the clusters in the first portion of the second task are written during the next interleave period, beginning with the first physical sector encountered by the head, again without waiting for index. The location where the first block of cluster data has been written is identified by writing a block number into the physical sector or by writing a start of cluster indicator on the track where the cluster is written.

Removable lingual-vestibular dental alignment device and method for the production thereof

The invention relates to a removable lingual-vestibular dental alignment device comprising an assembly of independent caps (12). The inner part of each cover (12) includes a fissure (14) for coupling to a fixing element (21, 24, and 27) adhered to the tooth (20) and outer elements (13) facilitating the passage of the dental arch (16) having a circular, square or rectangular section. The invention also relates to a method for the production of the caps (12) that includes scanning the mold of the denture and working on a virtual mold in order to include the corrective elements. The caps (12, 35) are produced after printing the result of the denture (9) with the different elements and subsequent stamping method or from the printing of a file corresponding to a virtual cap produced on the virtual denture (8) that includes the virtual cuboids (4) and virtual half-spheres (5).

Error correction device

In an error correction device, a frame generation section receives pulse signals as temperature information of a power switching element transmitted from a PWM comparator. The frame generation section sets a first correction pulse signal, a second correction pulse signal and the temperature information sequentially into each frame. A pulse width of the first correction pulse signal corresponds to a pulse width when a time ratio thereof becomes 100%. A pulse width of the second correction pulse signal corresponds to a pulse width when a time ratio thereof becomes 50%. A microcomputer receives the temperature information through a photocoupler and corrects the received temperature information. The microcomputer calculates a temperature detection value of the power switching element on the basis of the corrected temperature information.
