System and method to internetwork wireless telecommunication networks

One aspect of the invention is a method for wireless call processing. The method includes downloading at least one function-specific logic control program into each of a plurality of generic logic control state machines and receiving a message at a wireless protocol-specific codec, parsing the message, and routing the message to a first logic control state machine associated with the protocol-specific codec. The method also includes executing the function-specific logic control program of a first logic control state machine and generating a call event and routing the call event to an event codec. The method also includes executing the function-specific logic control program of a second logic control state machine and processing the call event. In a particular embodiment, the method also includes allocating an RF channel that may be used for the call event without seizing the RF channel. In another embodiment, the method also includes accessing a database that includes routing and verification information related to the call event, and routing the call event in response to the information.

A centralized administration system is provided that comprises a system for storing one or more reusable business objects that each encapsulate a distinct call-processing function, and any associated data required by the business object; a system for distributing selected business objects and associated data to selected nodes in the switching network based on pre-determined node configuration criteria; and, a system for activating the business objects in preparation for real-time use. A computing platform is provided within each node for executing those business objects required to perform a service in accordance with an event received at the network switch. Also within a node is a storage and retrieval system for sorting and retrieving selected objects and any associated data distributed by the administration system, and making them locally available to the computing platform when required to perform a service. An underlying location-independent communication system is provided to coordinate interaction of one or more business objects to perform the service in response to needs of the received event.

System and method for designing effective business policies via business rules analysis

Methods and systems are provided for analyzing the business rules, business metrics, and decision parameters for a firm or organization, processing a subset of such data to form output, and offering access to selective views of such output including evaluation and comparative data regarding execution of such business rules, information on corresponding business metrics or sets of business metrics, information on corresponding decision parameters or sets of decision parameters or scenarios, and other useful analytic information which can help a firm or organization evaluate and modify business policies based on said rules, metrics, and parameters. In addition to said rules, metrics and/or parameters, the data for the business rule analysis can include conventional historical data or hypothetical data based on simulations which the current system and method provide based on prescribed random and non-random algorithms. The simulated or hypothetical data enables users to conduct rule analysis based on historical data, simulated data, or hybrid models. In this manner, the methods and systems described in this invention provide for both an evaluation of a firm's current policies as well as an evaluation of policy modifications not actually executed but for which hypothetical data can be provided and analyzed.

Method and apparatus for dynamic voice reservation within wireless networks

A multi-hop wireless Ad-Hoc network according to the present invention employs a voice reservation protocol. The protocol supports voice and data communication and incorporates retransmission and acknowledgement mechanisms. A TDMA frame architecture is dynamically selected depending on voice mode operation (e.g., simplex / duplex) and associated retransmission / acknowledgement mechanisms. A source node transmits a reservation packet that embeds TDMA frame architecture and other information. The packet is transmitted to a destination node and is further piggybacked on existing neighbor discovery packets to reduce overhead. Each intermediate network node along the propagation path determines the manner in which to accomplish slot reservation based on the embedded information in the reservation packet. The protocol may use separate dedicated channels or a single channel for voice and data, and supports voice / data load balancing over different channels. In addition, the protocol may utilize speech silence and increased communication reliability to enhance performance.

SINS/CNS deep integrated navigation system and realization method thereof

The invention discloses a SINS/CNS deep integrated navigation system and a realization method thereof. Wherein the navigation system comprises a strapdown inertial navigation system (SINS), a celestial navigation system (CNS), an integrated navigation filter, a inertial navigation posture measurement information structure unit; the realization unit comprises the following steps: 1. a large viewing field star sensor assists the strapdown inertial navigation system to obtain a high-precision mathematic horizontal reference; 2. CNS positioning is carried out based on the mathematic horizontal reference; 3. SINS/CNS deep integrated system model and measurement mode are established; 4. integrated navigation system information is fused; 5. the SINS and the CNS assists each other to realize high-precision positioning. In the invention, the star sensor high-precision posture information is employed to assist SINS to obtain high-precision SINS strapdown matrix which serves as the mathematic horizontal reference for CNS positioning, and on the basis, positions and postures of the CNS are employed to comprehensively calibrate the SINS, thus realizing SINS/CNS deep integration and finally achieving high-precision positioning and navigation.

Miniature condenser microphone and fabrication method therefor

An acoustic pressure type sensor fabricated on a supporting substrate is disclosed. The acoustic sensor is fabricated by depositing and etching a number of thin films on the supporting substrate and by machining the supporting substrate. The resulting structure contains a pressure sensitive, electrically conductive diaphragm positioned at a distance from an electrically conductive fixed electrode. In operation, the diaphragm deflects in response to an acoustic pressure and the corresponding change of electrical capacitance between the diaphragm and the fixed electrode is detected using an electrical circuit. Two or more such acoustic sensors are combined on the same supporting substrate with an interaural flexible mechanical connection, to form a directional sensor with a small surface area.

The invention discloses an SINS/GPS super-compact integrated navigation system and an implementing method thereof. The method comprises the following steps: the doppler frequency assistance is provided for a GPS carrier loop by using the velocity information of a strapdown inertial navigation system, therefore, the loop equivalent bandwidth is increased, the influence of the carrier dynamic stateon the carrier loop is lowered, and the noise suppression capability is improved by reducing the bandwidth of a filter; meanwhile, in order to eliminate the correlation between the pseudo-range rate error and the inertial navigation error, a carrier loop tracking error model is obtained by establishing the relationship between the carrier tracking error and the inertial navigation speed error, andthe influence of the carrier tracking error is subduced in the measurement equation; and in addition, the carrier frequency is adjusted according to the output error estimation information, and the tracking accuracy of the carrier loop is enhanced. The invention can effectively enhance the noise suppression capability and the dynamic tracking performance of the tracking loop and enhance the tracking accuracy of a GPS receiver and the navigation accuracy of the integrated navigation system under strong interference and high dynamic circumstance.

Plasma ignition for direct injected internal combustion engines

An apparatus and method for the creation, placement and control of an area of electrical ionization within an internal combustion engine combustion chamber. This area of electrical ionization is positioned so that all of the fuel being injected into the combustion chamber must pass next to or through the area of electrical ionization to ensure that combustion has been initiated for all of the fuel as it is injected. This area of electrical ionization can be kept on as long as it is necessary to insure that the all of the fuel that is injected into the combustion chamber can be completely combusted. An engine equipped with this electrical ionization device has its fuel economy enhanced by timely, controlled, and complete combustion of all of the fuel injected into its combustion chamber. Furthermore, the pollutant emissions of both oxides of nitrogen and unburned hydrocarbons are reduced dramatically. Further, cold starting capability of this engine is greatly enhanced by a major reduction in the time necessary for the engine to warm up and a major reduction of pollutants created by the engine during the warm-up period. Additionally, this method of combustion also allows the engine to operate at a higher speed (rpm) allowing an increase in peak power output.
