The invention discloses a preparation method adopting low-temperature boronizing for a wear-resistant surface of nodular
cast iron. The preparation method comprises the following steps: firstly, pretreating the nodular
cast iron, then preparing a
powder boronizing agent and a sealing material, then carrying out boronizing treatment, and finally, carrying out boronizing aftertreatment, so that thehigh-
hardness boronized surface is obtained, wherein the step of carrying out boronizing treatment comprises the following substeps: carrying out pre-boronizing treatment on an iron container so thatthe iron container can serve as a boronizing tank, namely, filling the iron container with the boronizing agent, carrying out compacting, carrying out sealing, carrying out heating to 950 DEG C, keeping the temperature for 6 hours, and carrying out cooling; filling the boronizing tank subjected to pre-boronizing treatment with the uniformly mixed boronizing agent, burying the pretreated nodular
cast iron sample in the boronizing agent, filling the whole tank with the boronizing agent, compacting the boronizing agent, and finally, sealing the box with the prepared sealing material; and heatingthe sealed container to 200-400 DEG C and keeping the temperature for 1-2 h, wherein the boronizing time is controlled to be 1-24 h. While the boronizing temperature is reduced, a boronized layer which is large in thickness and is uniform can be obtained, and then the microhardness and
wear resistance of the nodular cast iron are effectively improved.
