Method and system for executing financial transactions via a communication medium

A web-based method and system that facilitates business transactions, including the raising of capital in global financial markets via the Internet is described. Users of the system design, structure, analyze and execute business transactions over the Internet. Users of the system described include issuers, financial institutions, intermediaries, other professional advisors (law firms, accounting firms, translation agencies, etc.) and end investors. A security means controls access to the system and restricts access to the system to only qualified users. Users of the system design and diagram a transaction structure, assign corresponding attributes to the structure design. The structure design and corresponding attributes are stored in a database. The transaction is posted as a notice or interest onto the system, wherein a user maintains the posting. A database of user and transaction information is compiled and maintained. The user profile is compared with the posted transactions to identify transactions of interest to a user. The transaction information is communicated to the user. NANO silicon-carbon composite material and preparation method thereof

The invention relates to a nano silicon-carbon composite negative material for lithium ion batteries and a preparation method thereof. A porous electrode composed of silica and carbon is taken as a raw material, and a nano silicon-carbon composite material of carbon-loaded nano silicon is formed by a molten salt electrolysis method in a manner of silica in-situ electrochemical reduction. Silicon and carbon of the material are connected by nano silicon carbide, and are metallurgical-grade combination, so that the electrochemical cycle stability of the nano silicon-carbon composite material is improved. The preparation method of the nano silicon-carbon composite material provided by the invention comprises the following steps: compounding a porous block composed of carbon and silica powder with a conductive cathode collector as a cathode; using graphite or an inert anode as an anode, and putting the cathode and anode into CaCl2 electrolyte or mixed salt melt electrolyte containing CaCl2 to form an electrolytic cell; applying voltage between the cathode and the anode; controlling the electrolytic voltage, the electrolytic current density and the electrolytic quantity, so that silica in the porous block is deoxidized into nano silicon by electrolytic reduction, and the nano silicon-carbon composite material for lithium ion batteries is prepared at the cathode.

The specification describes multimode optical fibers with specific design parameters, i.e., controlled refractive index design ratios and dimensions, which render the optical fibers largely immune to moderately severe bends. The structure of the TPSP is unified as it provides a multiplicity of the signals and pieces of information without the need to change, modify, or enhance the structure or to impose excessive computational time or resource requirements. The presented TPSP receives a set of three-phase measured signals, which can be voltage, current, magnetic flux, etc, and provides (1) the instantaneous and steady-state symmetrical components, (2) the fundamental components, (3) the peak values (magnitudes) of the symmetrical components, (4) the frequency and its rate of change, (5) the synchronization signal(s) and zero-crossing instants, (6) the phase-angles of the symmetrical components, and (7) the disturbance signatures. Two or more TPSP units, when properly augmented, further provide (8) the individual harmonic components, (9) the inter-harmonics, (10) the instantaneous real and reactive current components, (11) the total harmonic distortion, dc-offset, and power factor. The TPSP can serve as the building block for various signal processing requirements encountered in the context of power system applications including power systems control, protection, monitoring, and power quality.

The invention discloses a preparation method for an ordered mesoporous carbon/tungsten carbide composite material and a supported catalyst thereof. In the method, an organic matter and a tungsten salt are separately used as a carbon source and a tungsten source, and the carbon source and the tungsten source are mixed with a surfactant; and a precursor of the ordered mesoporous carbon/tungsten carbide is synthesized by a solvent-evaporation induced self-assembly method, and then the precursor is subject to high-temperature treatment in the inert atmosphere to form the ordered mesoporous carbon/tungsten carbide composite material. The ordered mesoporous carbon/tungsten carbide composite material prepared by the method has the characteristics of high degree of order, narrow aperture distribution, large specific surface area (greater than 500 m<2>/g) and the like. The invention further comprises a supported catalyst prepared by supporting active components on the ordered mesoporous carbon /tungsten carbide composite material which is prepared by the method; and because of the synergistic effect and the structure effect of the ordered mesoporous carbon/tungsten carbide composite material, the catalyst has higher methanol electro-oxidation catalytic activity than a commercial carbon platinum-ruthenium catalyst.
