Systems and methods of sharing information through a tag-based consortium

The invention provides one or more consortia of networks that identify and share information about users and / or user devices. User devices may be identified by tag-based computer information. A time stamp may be inserted into time based computer tags such as a cookies indicating when they were created. Such time stamp information can be encrypted and analyzed during future attempts to access a secure network such as a customer attempting to log into an online banking account. When the time stamp information from the tag is compared to other selected information about the user, device and / or account, including but not limited to last account log-in date / time or account creation date, the invention may be used to detect suspicious activity. The invention may be use for identity-based applications such as network security, the detection of fraudulent transactions, identity theft, reputation-based communities, and law enforcement.

Nonlinear System Identification Techniques and Devices for Discovering Dynamic and Static Tissue Properties

A device for measuring a mechanical property of a tissue includes a probe configured to perturb the tissue with movement relative to a surface of the tissue, an actuator coupled to the probe to move the probe, a detector configured to measure a response of the tissue to the perturbation, and a controller coupled to the actuator and the detector. The controller drives the actuator using a stochastic sequence and determines the mechanical property of the tissue using the measured response received from the detector. The probe can be coupled to the tissue surface. The device can include a reference surface configured to contact the tissue surface. The probe may include a set of interchangeable heads, the set including a head for lateral movement of the probe and a head for perpendicular movement of the probe. The perturbation can include extension of the tissue with the probe or sliding the probe across the tissue surface and may also include indentation of the tissue with the probe. In some embodiments, the actuator includes a Lorentz force linear actuator. The mechanical property may be determined using non-linear stochastic system identification. The mechanical property may be indicative of, for example, tissue compliance and tissue elasticity. The device can further include a handle for manual application of the probe to the surface of the tissue and may include an accelerometer detecting an orientation of the probe. The device can be used to test skin tissue of an animal, plant tissue, such as fruit and vegetables, or any other biological tissue.

Harvesting hydrocarbons and water from methane hydrate deposits and shale seams

A method of extraction of fuels, organic pollutants, and elements from Methane hydrate deposits, shale seams and the soil is described which freezes the zone and heats the center carrying the fuel, chemicals and water in these deposits and seams from where they are found, be it deep in the sea or on land, and carries them into the condensing unit in inert Nitrogen gas. Required drilling on the surface or sea bottom includes a main shaft and with auxiliary narrow drillings widely spaced from the shaft. The extraction zone, which is first cooled to brittle cold using the evaporation of Liquid Nitrogen and fractured with vibrations, is heated to the highest temperature of the hydrocarbon fraction desired to be extracted. The evaporating hydrocarbons are extracted in a Nitrogen gas carrier, a recognized fire suppressant (NFPA Code 2000). To speed the extraction rate, tonal input from two or more sounding units vibrates the seam structure freeing the evaporated hydrocarbons allowing more rapid escape into the shaft. To prevent air loss in aquifers, ice barriers seal the zone periphery. These hydrocarbons are separated into the hydrocarbons fractions, into fuel fractions as heating oil, kerosene, gasoline, ethers, and fuel gas including methane, Argon / Oxygen and rare gas segments, or, if pollutants, into the separate chemicals by boiling point. The thermal gradient of the extraction pipe is implemented by sourcing the Nitrogen from Liquid Nitrogen and bundling those pipes with the extraction pipe condensing its contents by hydrocarbon fractions into vessels and gas drums depending on boiling points of fractions. Water is separated from the gasoline segment and purified first by separation and then by freezing. The extraction of deep deposits layer the extraction zones as well as work neighboring extraction zones covering many acres. Fuel gases can be liquefied or burned in an on-site electric generating plant.

Connection management method for hybrid cloud, SDN controller and hybrid cloud system

The invention discloses a connection management method for hybrid clouds, an SDN controller and a hybrid cloud system and relates to the field of cloud computing. The method comprises the steps that the SDN controller receives a hybrid cloud connection management request sent by a hybrid cloud management platform through a northbound interface; the SDN controller determines a network device needing to be configured and network configuration information corresponding to the network device based on the hybrid cloud connection management request; and the SDN controller packages the network configuration information into a preset configuration protocol message and sends the preset configuration protocol message to the network device needing to be configured through a southbound interface. According to the method, the SDN controller and the system, on the basis of a capability of a software defined network, through expansion of functions and interfaces of the hybrid cloud management platform and the SDN controller, network cooperative management among hybrid clouds is realized; the network connection service quality among the hybrid clouds can be managed and controlled; resources such as links and routes are dynamically adjusted; and the field and application range of hybrid cloud service are expanded.

System for executing computer programs on a limited-memory computing machine

InactiveUS7036118B1Remove dependenceAdvance in fieldSoftware engineeringProgram controlRelated factorsSystem usage
A system for executing computer programs on a target platform having a limited amount of memory. Directives are suitably placed in the computer program source code at natural boundaries. The system uses the directives to extract structural information from the computer program and to produce a description of all program objects; to estimate typical object usage; and, to trigger transparent object paging to and from the limited platform memory during execution of the computer program. The system makes paging decisions prior to runtime by using relevant factors such as the typical usage of program objects and the size of each program object.

Methods for producing sialyloligosaccharides in a dairy source

The present invention provides methods for producing sialyloligosaccharides in situ in dairy sources and cheese processing waste streams, prior to, during, or after processing of the dairy source during the cheese manufacturing process. The methods of the present invention use the catalytic activity of alpha(2-3) trans-sialidases to exploit the high concentrations of lactose and alpha(2-3) sialosides which naturally occur in dairy sources and cheese processing waste streams to drive the enzymatic synthesis of alpha(2-3) sialyllactose. alpha(2-3) sialyloligosaccharides produced according to these methods are additionally encompassed by the present invention. The invention also provides for recovery of the sialyloligosaccharides produced by these methods. The invention further provides a method for producing alpha(2-3) sialyllactose. The invention additionally provides a method of enriching for alpha(2-3) sialyllactose in milk using transgenic mammals that express an alpha(2-3) trans-sialidase transgene. The invention also provides for recovery of the sialyllactose contained in the milk produced by this transgenic mammal either before or after processing of the milk. Transgenic mammals containing an alpha(2-3) trans-sialidase encoding sequence operably linked to a regulatory sequence of a gene expressed in mammary tissue are also provided by the invention.
