The invention provides a method for preparing polyphenol polymers with alpha-glucosidase inhibiting activity from teng tea. The method for preparing polyphenol polymers with alpha-glucosidase inhibiting activity from teng tea is characterized by comprising the following steps of (1) teng tea water extract preparation: putting the teng tea into boiling water, soaking the teng tea for a period of time, filtering liquid by gauze, and performing freeze drying on filter liquid to obtain a teng tea water extract; (2) column chromatography separation: dissolving the teng tea extract by a 50-percent methanol water solution, using an upper chromatography column, firstly flushing away impurities by the methanol water solution with a certain concentration, then performing elution by an acetone water solution with a certain concentration, and collecting an elution solution; and (3) membrane dialysis: performing vacuum rotary evaporation on the obtained elution solution to remove acetone, putting the obtained water solution into a dialysis bag, performing dialysis by water for a certain time, collecting a sample solution in the bag, performing freeze drying and obtaining the polyphenol polymers. The method has the advantages that the production process is simple, and the cost is low.
