The invention provide a new class of silicone-containing prepolymers containing dangling polysiloxane-containing polymer chains. This class of silicone-containing prepolymer is capable of being actinically crosslinked to form a silicone hydrogel material with a relatively high oxygen permeability, a reduced elastic modulus, and a relatively high ion permeability. The present invention is also related to silicone hydrogel contact lenses made from this class of silicone-containing prepolymers and to methods for making the silicone hydrogel contact lenses.

The invention belongs to the technical field of a new chemical material, and in particular relates to a high-durability super-hydrophobic self-cleaning coating material and a preparation method thereof. The coating material of the invention is prepared by curing and drying nanoparticles with photo-catalytic activity, a low-surface-free-energy polymer and a cross-linking agent at the room temperature, wherein the low-surface-free-energy polymer consists of one or more of polysiloxane fluoride, dimethyl silicone polymer and polyphenylene methyl siloxane, which contain active groups, such as hydroxyl alkoxy group, carbon-carbon double bond, silanol group, siloxy group, and the like; the cross-linking agent is hydrogen-containing silicone oil or aminosilane; and the mass content of the photo-catalytic nanoparticles in the coating ranges from 10 to 60 percent. The coating is formed into a micro-nanostructure by nanoparticle self-organization; a super-hydrophobic self-cleaning coating with lotus effect is prepared from the coating and a cross-linked filming matrix with low surface energy; the persistence of a lotus-shaped super-hydrophobic characteristic of the coating is realized by using the photo-catalytic decomposition characteristic of an organic pollutant for the nanoparticles; and thus the material is suitable for large-area construction and has high weathering resistance andprominent self-cleaning characteristic.

The silicon rubber is prepared from a phenyl vinyl polysiloxane component A, a silicon resin component B containing phenyl vinyl, a phenyl component C containing hydrogen polyoxyalkylene, a platinum catalyst component D, a catalytic inhibitor component E, a modified polysiloxane component F, and a water remover component G in a mixing manner. The silicon rubber not only has over 1.50 of refractive index, but also is good in transparency, excellent in adhesion, and stable in performance, can resist heat and ultraviolet radiation for a long period of time, can meet various requirements of LED (light-emitting diode) encapsulation, and is an ideal encapsulation material of the LED. The silicon rubber can be packaged into a bi-component product; the product has good storage stability; and high transparency is still kept after the product is stored for over 6 months.

White light-shielding compositions and articles comprising same

A polymer composition is provided which is white and opaque (i.e. shields from light). The polymer composition comprises a blend of (i) a silicon-free polycarbonate polymer and (ii) a polycarbonate-polysiloxane copolymer; a whitener such as titanium dioxide; and (iii) a non-white colorant such as carbon black. The resulting composition, when molded and measured at a thickness of 0.75 mm, has an L* of greater than 80 and a % T of less than 1%. The composition also has good impact strength at low temperatures and good stability during processing.

A composition containing a polycarbonate, a polycarbonate-polysiloxane copolymer, an impact modifier, and a polyetherimide, wherein the polycarbonate comprises greater than or equal to about 50% by weight of the combined weights of the polycarbonate, polycarbonate-polysiloxane copolymer, impact modifier and polyetherimide and wherein a 3.2 millimeter thick, 7.6 centimeter square sample of the composition produces a smoke density (Ds) of less than 275 after a 4-minute burn, measured according to ASTME 662-03. In one embodiment, a composition may contain about 60 to about 85 wt. % polycarbonate, about 8 to about 20 wt. % polycarbonate-polysiloxane copolymer, about 0.5 to about 20 wt. % impact modifier, and about 1 to about 10 wt. % polyetherimide.

The invention belongs to the technical field of self-repairing elastomer materials, and discloses a high-strength room-temperature self-repairing polyurethane elastomer based on multiple dynamic reversible effects as well as preparation and application thereof. A preparation method comprises the following steps: 1) reacting a dihydric alcohol with a diisocyanate under the action of a catalyst to obtain a prepolymer; wherein the dihydric alcohol is a mixture of more than one from a polyether glycol and a polysiloxane glycol; 2) reacting a dicarboxylic acid chain extender with the prepolymer toobtain an oligomer; adding a diamine chain extender, continuously reacting, and carrying out subsequent treatment to obtain polyurethane; wherein the dicarboxylic acid chain extender and the diamine chain extender are collectively called as chain extenders, and the chain extenders contain disulfide bonds and pyridine groups; 3) in an organic solvent, reacting polyurethane with a metal salt cross-linking agent, and removing the solvent to obtain the high-strength room-temperature self-repairing polyurethane elastomer. The preparation method is simple and mild in condition, and the prepared polyurethane elastomer is excellent in mechanical property and high in self-repairing efficiency and is applied to a flexible substrate materials, wearable equipment and intelligent protective coating.

Surface activity adjustable nano porous silicon dioxide aerogel and its preparation method

This invention relates to a silica dioxide aerogel and the preparation method thereof. Said silica dioxide aerogel is surface activity adjustable and nanometer porous. The preparation procedures comprise: use polysiloxane, water, solvent and catalyst as raw material to make wet gel by sol-gel processing, wherein the volume ration of polysiloxane, water, solvent and catalyst is 1:3-15:0.5-1.0:0.02-0.1; conduct surface conditioning of the wet gel, wherein the volume ratio of the coating material and the conditioning solvent is 1:5-15; take out the wet gel to conduct normal pressure drying and sectional thermal treatment, with the temperature range between 100 and 600Deg C. This invention can transform the original hydrophobic state of the aerogel particle to hydrophilic state according to the practical need, suitable for different application requirement. It also has benefits of low cost and simple process, which makes it much qualified for industrial production.
