Characterization of food materials by optomagnetic fingerprinting

The present invention generally relates to methods and systems to determine the properties of light-matter interaction in the characterization of food materials using an incident light source and a sensor to measure the opto-magnetic properties of light reflected from the food material. The opto-magnetic properties can be used to generate an opto-magnetic footprint. Comparison of the opto-magnetic footprint with opto-magnetic footprints of known materials enables characterization of the food materials. This enables detection of pesticide residues, confirmation of “organic” labeling, and determination of freshness of the food materials.

An inductive power supply system to identify remote devices using unique identification frequencies. The system includes an AIPS and a tank circuit capable of inductively providing power to a remote device at different frequencies, and a sensor for sensing the reflected impedance of the remote device at tank circuit. The system further includes a plurality of different remote devices, each having a unique resonance frequency. In operation, the AIPS is capable of identifying the type of remote device present in the inductive field by applying power to a remote device at a plurality of unique identification frequencies until the remote device establishes resonance in response to one of the identification frequencies. The AIPS includes a controller that recognizes when resonance has been established by evaluating sensor data, which is representative of the reflected impedance of the remote device. Once the identity of a remote device is determined, the AIPS may pull operating parameters for the remove device from memory to ensure efficient operation and to assist in recognizing fault conditions.

An improved method for analyzing computer network security has been developed. The method first establishes multiple nodes, where each node represents an actor, an event, a condition, or an attribute related to the network security. Next, an estimate is created for each node that reflects the ease of realizing the event, condition, or attribute of the node. Attack paths are identified that represent a linkage of nodes that reach a condition of compromise of network security. Next, edge probabilities are calculated for the attack paths. The edge probabilities are based on the estimates for each node along the attack path. Next, an attack graph is generated that identifies the easiest conditions of compromise of network security and the attack paths to achieving those conditions. Finally, attacks are detected with physical sensors on the network, that predict the events and conditions. When an attack is detected, security alerts are generated in response to the attacks.

The preparation method of the fluorescent mesoporous silica-based core-shell nanoscale capsule has the advantages of simple process, convenience of operation, and more nanoscale capsule product functions.
