Method and system for performing local geometrical operation on a hierarchical layout of a semiconductor device

At least one cell pair graph is generated for cells of the layout. A partial inverse layout tree is determined from the cell pair graph. For the partial inverse layout tree, only branches of the complete inverse layout tree are considered that describe an interaction between shapes of different cells. A data set is generated from the partial inverse layout tree and the data set is saved, for example, by using the partial inverse layout tree.

System and method for intra refresh implementation with pseudo random number generation

Embodiments of the present invention include a method and system for encoding video data comprising accessing a picture to be encoded, wherein the picture comprises a plurality of macro-blocks. A plurality of programmable counters is associated with each macro-block to be encoded. A counter associated with a macro-block of the plurality of macro-blocks is accessed and a value of the counter is determined. The method further includes determining whether to encode the macro-block as an Intra or non-Intra based on the value of the counter. If the macro-block is encoded as Intra, its counter is reset. If the macro-block is encoded as non-Intra, its counter value is updated. The counter value may be reset with a random number. Counters can be programmed such that a region of interest is defined for updating associated macro-blocks with greater frequency.

The present invention relates to a finger musical instrument, including a first glove and a second glove, some performance keys distributed on a fingertip of each of the gloves, and a sound box positioned at each of the gloves. The finger musical instrument further includes a combination key positioned at palm heel of each of the gloves. Each of the sound boxes is connected with a controller. The performance key and the combination key on the same glove are all connected with the corresponding controller. Therein the performance key and the combination of the performance key and the combination key of one glove gives out one octave sound, while the performance key and the combination of the performance key and the combination key of the other glove gives out another octave sound. Each of the controllers is provided with a range regulation switch used for making a sound higher or lower by an octave on each of the gloves. With regulation of the range regulation switch, the finger musical instrument is able to give out a range of two octaves through the sound box. The finger musical instrument of the present invention covers a range of three octaves and can exhibit a vivider music, and the controller can switch between a performance mode and a teaching mode, thus enhancing interaction between the finger musical instrument and a performer.

Leg exercise assembly

An assembly is structured to facilitate exercise of at least the legs of a user especially, but not exclusively, when the user is in an at least partially seated orientation. A plurality of support members are disposed and structured to movably and at least partially support a different foot of the user. Drive linkage is driven by a drive member and interconnected drive motor and is interconnected in driving relation to one or both of the support members by connector structure associated therewith. Cooperative structuring between drive member, drive linkage and connector structure results in linear, oppositely directed, reciprocal travel of the support members relative to one another, while engaging and supporting the feet of the user, upon actuation of the drive motor.

Fret detection method and device

When FRET (Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer) detection of a large number of samples is performed in a short time for a sample consisting of a donor molecule and an acceptor molecule, the donor molecule is irradiated at first with first laser light used for exciting a donor molecule subjected to intensity modulation at a frequency of f+Δf, the accepter molecule is irradiated with second laser light used for exciting an acceptor molecule subjected to intensity modulation at a frequency of f, and fluorescence emitted from the accepter molecule is received. From a fluorescence signal thus received, a first signal component of fluorescence emitted from the accepter molecule through FRET, and a second signal component of fluorescence emitted from an accepter molecule excited through irradiation with the second laser light are extracted. Phase lags of the first and second signal components thus extracted are then calculated and the presence of generation of FRET is judged based on these phase lags.
