The invention provides air clay and a preparation method thereof. The air clay is prepared from
quartz micro-
powder, pharmaceutical grade shell
powder, polyoxyethylene,
alpha olefin sodium sulfonate,
glycerol and
sorbitol. The preparation method comprises the following steps of: (1) adding the
quartz micro-
powder which is used as a main body, the pharmaceutical grade shell powder which is used as a molecular structure connecting carrier, and the
alpha olefin sulfonate which is used as a reaction element into a reaction kettle; (2) raising the temperature to ensure that the
quartz micro-powder fully react with the shell powder to achieve a
fermentation effect; (3) when the temperature is up to 85 DEG C, stopping heating, adding the polyoxyethylene and continuously mixing; (4) pouring a product out of the reaction kettle, moving the product to a U-shaped mixer, adding a 70-percent of the
sorbitol solution, stirring and mixing, wherein the rotating speed of the mixer is 15rpm; (5) lowering the temperature to be 60 DEG C, adding the
glycerol, and adjusting the rotating speed of the mixer to be 10rpm; (6) observing a flocculent drawing state of the product and pouring the product out after the product is agglomerated. The
usability of the air clay is the same as that of
plasticine, the shaping function of the air clay is superior to that of the
plasticine, the fermenting and drawing functions are provided, and the air clay can be modeled and played repeatedly and randomly.
