Improvements have been made for collection and focusing of ions generated from atmospheric pressure sources such as electrospray, atmospheric pressure chemical ionization, inductively coupled plasma, discharge, photoionization and atmospheric pressure matrix assisted laser desorption ionization. A high transmission electro-optical surface is placed between the source regions and the focusing regions to optimize the field geometries and strengths in each respective region. Compression ratios of greater than 5000 are capable of transferring virtually all ions from large volume dispersive ion regions into ion beam cross-sections of less than 1 mm. Embodiments of this invention are methods and devices for improving sensitivity of mass spectrometry when coupled to atmospheric pressure ionization sources.

Electrospraying method for fabrication of particles and coatings and treatment methods thereof

Electrospray systems and modified electrospray systems for the fabrication of core-shell particles for controlled-release and / or sustained-release treatment and delivery are herein disclosed. The electrospray system may include between one and a plurality of co-axially situated tubes. Each tube may be electrically connected to a power supply wherein a voltage may be applied thereto. Core-shell particles may be collected on a collection target, which may be a wet or dry collector, and electrically connected to the power supply. Core-shell particles and methods of manufacture are also disclosed. The precursors of the core-shell particles may be polymer- or biomacromolecule-based solutions and may include at least one treatment agent incorporated therein. The number of “core” particle(s) within the “shell” may vary and may provide different treatment agent release profiles depending on the material and / or chemical characteristics of the polymer and / or biomacromolecule used. Methods of treating a condition are also disclosed. A treatment may include delivery of a plurality of core-shell particles which include a treatment agent to a treatment site. Delivery may be performed by a surgical procedure or by a non-invasive procedure such as catheter delivery.

The invention relates to a preparation method for a nano-granular solid dispersion of a hydrophobic drug by high-voltage electrostatic spraying, which comprises the following steps of: mixing a hydrophobic drug, a drug-carrying polymer and an organic solvent at a mass ratio of (1-10): (10-20): (80-94) to prepare a consolute electric spraying solution; and then carrying out high-voltage electrostatic spraying while controlling the flow rate of the consolute electric spraying solution at 0.5-2.5 mL / h, the distance between a receiving board and a wire spraying port at 15-30cm and the voltage at 5-30kV to obtain the nano-granular solid dispersion of the hydrophobic drug. The preparation method is simple to operate, is low in cost, is environmentally-friendly and is suitable for industrial production; and the prepared solid dispersion of the hydrophobic drug not only can highly disperse a composite of a polymer and the drug into an amorphous state and has a nano-structural characteristic.

The invention discloses composite microspheres of nano liposome capable of being automatically assembled into an insoluble medicament in situ and a preparation method for the composite microspheres. The composite microspheres are compounded by using hydrophilic polymer, soybean lecithin and insoluble medicament in a mass ratio of (15-35): (0.5-5): (0.1-1). The preparation method for the composite microspheres comprises the following steps of: dissolving the hydrophilic polymer, the insoluble medicament and the soybean lecithin by using a co-solvent to form a co-dissolved solution, spraying the co-dissolved solution to a powder receiving plate in a horizontal distance of 15 to 30 centimeters far away from a spraying port of a high-pressure electrostatic spraying device by adopting the high-pressure electrostatic spraying device, and thus obtaining the composite microspheres. The obtained composite microspheres improve the dissolution and dispersion performance of the water-insoluble medicament and the absorption performance of a permeable membrane. In addition, the composite microspheres are prepared by a single step without heating or shearing, and the preparation method is suitable for industrialized production.

If the sample detected by the ion mobility spectrometry contains prohibited antibiotics, the sample can be further detected by high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrum (HPLC-MS) or mass spectrum. The provided method is accurate and reliable, on the basis that the detected data is precise, the detection cost is largely reduced, and the detection efficiency is improved.

A method for directly analyzing a lung cancer tissue sample based on the tissue electro-spray ionization mass spectrometry concretely comprises the steps that an electro-spray extraction ionization source in the tissue sample is set up; an extraction agent, namely, methyl alcohol is sucked through a micro-syringe connected with a quartz capillary, the extraction agent is dripped on the surface of the sample through the quartz capillary, and an injection pump controls the micro-syringe; the lung cancer tissue sample is cut into a piece of which the volume is 1 mm3 and placed at the tip of an acupuncture needle, and the needle tip is inserted into the sample and keep unexposed; the distance between the front end of the sample and an inlet of a mass spectrometer is adjusted, and the tail end of the acupuncture needle, the front end of the sample and the inlet of the mass spectrometer are adjusted to be in a horizontal coaxial state; DC voltage is applied on the acupuncture needle, so that extraction, desorption and ionization happen on the sample, and the sample generates spray which enters the mass spectrometer. According to the method, the information of molecules in the sample can be directly and quickly obtained, and the result shows that the method is a mass spectrometry method which has the advantages that the device is simple, manufacturing cost is low, ionization efficiency is high, and damage to the sample is small.

Fluid circulation within the probe transports the sample through a sample transport capillary to an outlet that directs the analyte away from the probe to an analytical instrument, e.g., a device that detects the presence, concentration quantity, and / or identity of the analyte. When the analytical instrument is a mass spectrometer or other type of device requiring the analyte to be in ionized form, the exiting droplets pass through an ionization region, e.g., an electrospray ion source, prior to entering the mass spectrometer or other analytical instrument. The MS ionization source disclosed by the invention comprises an electrospray generator, a heating device and a sampling device, wherein the heating device comprises a gasifying chamber and a heater providing heat for the gasifying chamber; a sample nozzle of a sample tube of the sampling device is configured in a way of facing the bottom of the gasifying chamber; the outlet end of a spraying capillary tube of the electrospray generator is opposite to the inlet of a mass spectrometer and is spaced from the inlet by a certain distance; the gasifying chamber and the sample nozzle are placed under the space between the outlet end of the spraying capillary tube and the inlet of the mass spectrometer.
