The invention discloses a novel
beak-shaped litchi planting method capable of achieving high and stable yield. The novel
beak-shaped litchi planting method includes the steps of a), selecting and treating cuttings, namely selecting strong branches from seed trees,
cutting the branches to form cuttings, soaking to sterilize roots of the cuttings, and then soaking the roots of the cuttings in a root inducing agent; b), treating
seedbed fields, namely deeply ploughing
seedbed soil, applying one layer of red clay and
peat soil on the
seedbed soil, scarifying the seedbed soil again, sterilizing, applying ripe
cow dung, superphosphate and a
potash fertilizer for 3-5 days after sterilization, watering to drench the seedbed soil and sterilizing; c) performing litchi
cutting and management, namely inserting the litchi cuttings into the seedbed soil obliquely, spraying quick
lime and ABT rooting
powder after
cutting, watering seedbeds every day, sterilizing after 10 days, spraying
nutrient solution for every 10 days after sterilization, and cultivating till seedlings emerge. By the aid of a cuttage method, the novel
beak-shaped litchi planting method is short in
seedling time, high in
survival rate, low in cost and capable of keeping excellent characteristics of female parents, accelerating litchi raising, shortening fruit bearing period and increasing litchi yield.
