Independent braking and controllability control method and system for a vehicle with regenerative braking

A strategy is provided using feedback control algorithms to monitor and dynamically modify front and rear braking torque to maintain controllability in a vehicle that initially favors regenerative braking. Simple proportional-integral-derivative feedback controllers can be used. The controller can monitor wheel speed, lateral acceleration, yaw rate, and brake position to selectively activate non-regenerative braking independently for each individual wheel and regenerative braking in varying proportion based on at least one actual vehicle controllability value and at least one predetermined target value for controllability and optimization of energy recovery. Controllability factors can include predetermined longitudinal slip ratio, comparison of tire slip angle or yaw rate. For rear wheel drive configurations, the non-regenerative brakes can be applied to just one front axle wheel on the outside of a turn. For front wheel drive configurations, the non-regenerative brakes can be applied to just one rear axle wheel on the inside of a turn.

This invention involves structure and fabrication method of a black silicon-based MEMS thermopile IR detector. The high-performance black silicon-based MEMS thermopile IR detector includes a substrate; a releasing barrier band on the substrate; a thermal isolation cavity constructed by the releasing barrier band; a black silicon-based IR absorber located right above the thermal isolation cavity; a number of thermocouples are set around the lateral sides of the black silicon-based IR absorber. The thermopiles around the black silicon-based IR absorber are electrically connected in series thus to form a thermopile. Metallic electrodes are located beside the electrically-connected thermopiles for signal output. The cold junctions of the thermopile are connected to the substrate through the first thermal-conductive-electrical-isolated structures, the heat conductor is located at the lateral sides of the thermal isolation cavity. The hot junctions of the thermopile are in contact with the IR absorber through the second thermal-conductive-electrical-isolated structures, and the second thermal-conductive-electrical-isolated structures are located above the releasing barrier band. The structure of such detector is simple, and it is easy to implement and can also be monolithicly integrated. Such detector has high responsivity and detection rate, and is CMOS-compatible, thus can be used widely in a safe and reliable manner.

The invention discloses a method of manufacturing a flexible micro membrane surface stress biosensor based on a nano conductive material. Particularly, a simple method is used for combining the nano conductive material and a flexible substrate, and the sensitivity and the telescopic performance of the stress sensor are further improved. Firstly, a flexible material (such as PDMS) is used as a raw material to make a flexible template with a groove; then, the nano conductive material (such as carbon nanotubes or silver nanowires) is used for filling the groove in the template; electrodes are led out from two ends of the filled nano conductive material; and finally, a flexible polymer material (such as PDMS) is used for fixing the nano material and the electrodes at the upper layer, and the structure stability is enhanced (the step can be omitted according to actual demands). The method of the invention has the advantages that the process is simple; the cost is low; the controllability is strong; the manufactured flexible stress sensor based on the nano conductive material is high in sensitivity, high in stability and good in flexibility; and possibilities are provided for realizing miniaturization, low cost and batch production.

The invention is intended to provide a downhill speed control system which employs a method of setting a target vehicle speed in advance, thereby improving controllability when a vehicle runs down a slope, and giving an operator improved operability in setting of the target vehicle speed. Brakes are controlled so that, when the vehicle runs down the slope, an actual vehicle speed is matched with a target speed set by a switch which can set the target speed by selectively or continuously changing plural preset speeds. Also, control constants for PID control are modified depending on settings of a downslope gradient setting switch and a load setting switch. When an acceleration computed from the actual vehicle speed is larger than a target acceleration, the strength of applied brake is increased.

The property of the magnetorheological fluid is changed by the magnetic field generated by the excitation system, the property of the lubricating oil films is further changed, and intelligent behaviors of the bearing are achieved. The floating ring rotates at the speed lower than that of a rotary shaft. By means of the external magnetic field, stiffness and damping characteristics of the bearing are changed, so that vibration control of a rotor is achieved. The method is suitable for rotor occasions sensitive to vibration, and semi-active control over a rotor system can be easily achieved.

The invention involves structure and fabrication method of a high performance IR detector. The structure comprises a substrate; a releasing barrier band on the substrate; a thermal isolation chamber constructed by the releasing barrier band; a black silicon-based IR absorber located right above the thermal isolation chamber and the black silicon-based IR absorber is set on the releasing barrier band; a number of thermocouples are set around the lateral sides of the black silicon-based IR absorber.
