The invention discloses a quick measurement method for different forms of water in sludge. The quick measurement method comprises the following steps of: (1) performing low-field nuclear magnetic resonance measurement on the sludge to obtain a transverse relaxation time T2 spectrum of different forms of water in the sludge; (2) stewing and settling activated sludge, preparing a standard sample by supernatant liquid at equal mass interval, and constructing a standard curve; (3) according to the obtained standard curve, matrixing the low-field nuclear magnetic resonance transverse relaxation time of the sludge to obtain three different forms of water, namely free water mass, interstitial water mass and surface combined water mass in the sludge; and (4) drying the sludge to be measured until the weight is balanced, subtracting the final mass from the initial mass, and calculating the fourth form of water in the sludge, namely the internal combined water mass. Compared with the conventional method, the quick measurement method for measuring the content of different forms of water in the sludge by a nuclear magnetic resonance technology has the advantages of short experiment time, harmlessness to experiment samples, precision of measurement and the like.

According to the method disclosed by the invention, a byproduct of a salt lake, namely sodium sulfate is fully utilized, fresh water resources are saved in the production process, the production period is shortened, the production efficiency is improved and the production cost is further reduced.

Given the core and the shore profiles, embodiments produce a three-dimensional eddy representation for a particular ocean region based on three (core, inshore and offshore) specified profiles. Oscillation suppression and control system for a floating platform

In accordance with the present invention, an oscillation suppression system is provided to inhibit vertical and rotational resonance of a floating platform. The oscillation suppression system includes energy absorption chambers mounted in or about the hull of the floating platform. The chambers may be separately attached or integrated as part of the structure. The chambers are comprised of gas in an upper portion, and water mass in a lower portion. The chambers are closed or partially vented at the upper ends and open at their bottom ends. The enclosed gas in the upper portion of the chamber acts as a gas spring reacting against the floating platform and the water mass. The suppression of resonant oscillations of the floating platform system is accomplished through the gas-spring pressure changes acting on the floating platform system in phase opposition to external forces.

Method of wetting webs of paper or other hygroscopic material

This invention relates to a three-stream atomizing nozzle for use with a rewet shower. The nozzle has an air stream divider that separates the atomizing air from the source into three streams. The first stream is a straight air stream staying closest to and around the atomized water jet. The second stream is a swirl running around the first straight stream. The third stream is also a straight stream that wraps around the first straight stream and the second swirl. The nozzle also has a mixing chamber in which the three air streams are mixed together for the atomizing purpose. The nozzle can from the combination of the three air streams produce fine water droplets that are suitable for a paper rewet shower and more importantly creates a tailorable water mass profile. The mass profile can be tailored into a shape that is close to a square shape which is ideal for rewet showers as a square profile creates minimal coupling between adjacent zones.
