A biocompatible tissue repair stimulating implant or “scaffold” device, and methods for making and using such a device, are provided. The implant includes one or more layers of a bioabsorbable polymeric foam having pores with an open cell pore structure. A reinforcement component is also present within the implant to contribute enhanced mechanical and handling properties. The implant houses a biological component that may be released to tissue adjacent the location in which the implant is implanted to faciliate and/or expedite the healing of tissue. This biological component resides primarily within the foam component of the implant, being incorporated within pores formed within the foam.

A biocompatible tissue repair stimulating implant or “scaffold” device is used to repair tissue injuries, particularly injuries to ligaments, tendons, and nerves. Such implants are especially useful in methods that involve surgical procedures to repair injuries to ligament, tendon, and nerve tissue in the hand and foot. Disclosed is equipment for charged-particle beam lithography capable of executing exposure even when an electron beam with a bad property is produced due to a failure in some multibeam forming element, without replacing the failing multibeam forming element and without reducing the exposure accuracy. The equipment includes means for forming a plurality of charged-particle beams arranged at predetermined intervals; a plurality of blankers which act on the plurality of charged-particle beams individually; a common blanker which acts on all of the plurality of charged-particle beams; and a blanking restriction for causing those charged-particle beams which are given predetermined deflection by the plurality of blankers to reach onto a sample, with a signal applied to the common blanker, and blocking those charged-particle beams which are not given the predetermined deflection by the plurality of blankers to the sample. A three-dimensional woven fabric structure is integrally woven by a multi-ply weave having three or more plies, and includes a form defining a plurality of bag portions extending parallel with one another, and arranged in a plurality of rows. The bag portions in each row are defined by two woven fabric plies, the intersection of which along a crossing locus creates a bound portion between adjacent bag portions. Cylindrical bag portions in adjacent rows have a woven fabric ply in common and are interconnected at staggered positions. The present invention is an interior material for a vehicle having a skin layer and a base layer. The skin layer contains an olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer, a polyolefin resin, a polylactic acid resin and a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer, in amounts of respectively 20% to 70% by weight, 10% to 50% by weight, 5% to 30% by weight and 5% to 30% by weight based on 100% by weight of the total of these. The base layer is preferably a thin layer in which a natural fiber is dispersed in a phase of a thermoplastic resin such as a polyolefin resin, or a polyurethane foam layer.

A method for repairing a damaged portion of a combustor inner liner assembly. The method includes removing the combustor from a gas turbine engine. After inspecting the combustor to determine whether cracks exists in portions of the inner liner assembly, the method includes removing a cracked inner liner assembly from the combustor. Then the portion of the inner liner assembly, comprising a multi-hole panel region, an aft lip region, an aft seal flange region and an aft panel support leg are separated from the inner liner assembly. The multi-hole panel region and aft lip, where fatigue damage typically exists, along with the aft seal flange region, are discarded and a new aft lip region/aft seal flange region and multi-hole panel region are provided. The new parts are joined to the aft panel support leg and the inner liner assembly aft of forward bolt flange region after these parts are refurbished. The inner liner assembly is then reattached to the combustor and reassembled into the engine.
