Flexible clamp

A flexible clamp for clamping and spacing solar panel modules, including a captive flange forming a top portion, which includes a top face, a bottom face, a right side, a left side, a front side, a back side, a substantially planar underside to engage the modules upper surface. It also includes a longitudinal axis and an aperture disposed generally along that axis. First, second, and third horizontal members are disposed under the captive flange and include substantially planar surfaces generally parallel to the underside of the captive flange. Each horizontal member includes a right side, a left side, a front side, a back side, a width slightly less than the width of the captive flange, and an aperture coaxial with the aperture in the captive flange. A first vertical member connects the right side of the first horizontal member with the captive flange at a point slight right of the longitudinal axis and left of the right side, thus forming a right overhang for engaging a first solar panel. A second vertical member connects the left sides of the second and third horizontal members in such manner that a left overhang is formed, and this is adapted for engaging a second solar panel adjacent to the first panel. A third vertical member coplanar with the first vertical member connects the right sides of the second and third horizontal members. When a bolt is passed through the coaxial apertures and tightened, the clamp flexes and bows slightly outwardly.

Interferometer spectrometer with reduced alignment sensitivity

An interferometer spectrometer that has reduced alignment sensitivity is described herein. Parallelism of an output ray pair formed by a single input ray is not affected by variations in relative alignment of the components. In comparison to other compensated interferometer designs, lateral separation errors in the output ray pair due to optical component misalignment are reduced. The reduced alignment sensitivity may be accomplished by utilizing simple planar components that are common to both light paths. The reduced alignment sensitivity and simplicity in design provides a more compact and more robust interferometer, with reduced manufacturing costs associated therewith. An elliptical field of view light source that utilizes an array of collimator lenses is also described. The light source provides a more compact design than a single circular collimator lens of the same area, and is suitable for single channel or multi-channel use.

Viewing device comprising a pupil expander including two mirrors

A viewing devices includes an optical assembly comprising a display, an optical system forming of this display an image at infinity and a light guide for expanding a pupil in two spatial directions. The guide comprises three planar mirrors and two semi-reflective plates, the optical axis of the optical assembly being inclined with respect to the surface of the first planar mirror by an angle different from zero and strictly smaller than 90 degrees, the light beams output from the optical assembly propagating inside the light guide via successive reflections from the planar mirrors and the semi-reflective plates, the transmission of the light beams output from the optical assembly to outside of the light guide occurring via successive transmissions by the second semi-reflective plate.

Method of and apparatus for, and program for verifying equivalence between behavioral description and register transfer level description

For deriving an RTL description through several steps from a behavioral description, a behavioral synthesis device outputs an associated relation between intermediate level descriptions subsequent to the respective steps and intermediate level descriptions prior to the respective steps. A model extracting device extracts a model capable of expressing a control structure based on a finite state machine and an update of a signal from the behavioral description, each of the intermediate level descriptions, and the RTL description, as a model corresponding to those descriptions. A signal value function extracting device extracts signal value functions from the model. A function equivalence comparing device checks the equivalence between signal value functions prior and subsequent to the steps of the behavioral synthesis device.
