Systems and methods are disclosed for light sources that use the photo-sensitivity of one or more colored LEDs to determine at least a portion of the emission spectrum of a white light source or other broad spectrum light emitter. As described herein, a white LED or other broad spectrum light emitter can be used as the light source, if desired, along with one or more additional colored LEDs, and the same colored LEDs can be used to emit light and to adjust a color point produced by the light source. Applications for the disclosed embodiments include but are not limited to general lighting, LCD backlighting, projectors, and direct emission displays such as OLEDs and digital billboards.

System and method for improved time-interleaved analog-to-digital converter arrays which reduces sampling mismatch distortion found in prior art arrays. There may be two causes of non-uniform sampling mismatch in a TI-ADC array, a mismatch due to skew and a mismatch due to clock jitter. To minimize non-uniform sampling mismatch, the mismatch due to skew can be addressed. A preferred embodiment comprises adjusting a delay imparted on the sampling clock by an adjustable delay in each channel of a plurality of channels in the TI-ADC array to minimize skew and randomly switching between two delays that span a zero-skew delay to reduce residual skew in each channel and thus eliminate (or reduce) frequency domain tones caused by non-uniform sampling mismatch.

The invention discloses a high-load and high-precision pneumatic force measurement device and a measurement method. An internal balance tail-supported aerial vehicle model is adopted to execute pneumatic force test in the prior art, and rising force of an aerial vehicle perpendicularly works on a cantilever type tail rod, so that the model severely shakes during the test. The high-load and high-precision pneumatic force measurement device comprises a balance and a supporting rod, wherein the balance adopts an internal balance and is connected with a balance sleeve; the supporting rod is connected with an incidence angle sliding rail mechanism, a side sliding angle mechanism connected with the incidence angle sliding rail mechanism, and a mechanism control and data acquisition device; the supporting rod is adopted to be connected with the balance and support the model; the internal balance is adopted to measure the pneumatic force of the aerial vehicle model; the balance is externally connected with a sleeve structure and is also connected with a data acquisition device; the data acquisition system obtains the pneumatic force on the model and is connected with automatic control equipment; therefore, the pneumatic force on the model can be obtained. The high-load and high-precision pneumatic force measurement device and the measurement method are used for measurement in a pressurized high-density and low-speed wind tunnel.

A magneto elastic sensor having a longitudinally extending shaft like member which is subject to a load, is provided. A magneto-elastically active region is directly or indirectly attached to or forming a part of the member in such a manner that the mechanic stress is transmitted to the active region. A magnetically polarized region of the active region becomes increasingly helically shaped as the application stress increases. A magnetic field sensor means is arranged approximate the at least one magneto elastically region for outputting a signal corresponding to a stress induced magnetic flux emanating from the magnetically polarized region. The magnetic sensor means is configured for determination of a shear stress and / or of a tensile or compressive stress. In particular, the sensor means comprises at least one direction sensitive magnetic field sensor, which is arranged having a predetermined and fixed spatial coordination with the member.

A method for producing low-PMD fiber, in which a glass fiber is drawn from an optical fiber perform by a tractor which pulls such optical fiber from said perform; subsequent to said tractor pulling the fiber is twisted about its axis to increase the magnitude of twist which is imparted to said fiber. The fiber is then wound onto a fiber storage spool such that at least a portion of the twist imparted to said optical fiber is retained while said fiber is wound on said spool.
