The big drum manufacturing method comprises the steps that firstly, peach wood and red cone wood are soaked, aired, and fired to obtain a corematerial, and the core material is sawed into peach wood plates and red cone plates; secondly, the peach wood plates and the red cone plates are soaked and then naturally aired, the peach wood platesserve as main plates, and the red cone plates serve as auxiliary plates; thirdly, the main plates and the auxiliary plates are used for being spliced into a drum body, and gaps between the plates aresealed; fourthly, the drum body is covered with a metal layer; fifthly, a cattle hide is soaked to obtain blood-removed cattle hide; sixthly, the blood-removed cattle hide is aired to obtain a half-dried cattle hide; seventhly, the half-dried cattle hide is dried to obtain a dried cattle hide; eighthly, the dried cattle hide is subjected to still standing to obtain drum skin; ninthly, a vibrationincreasing device is arranged in the drum body; tenthly, the drum skin is expanded to form a drum surface; and eleventh, the two ends of the drum body sleeve hoop rings to obtain a strong drum. A stretching device is designed to stretch the cattle hide, the stretched cattle hide is better in elasticity, higher in toughness, high in vibration and strong in sound, and cracking is reduced.
