Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for cancer therapy by full-interval high-voltage steep-sided pulses. Pulse trimming switches are used for trimming pulses generated by a microsecond or nanosecond level pulse generator, and the trimmed pulses form nanosecond or picosecond-level high-voltage steep-sided pulses to kill tumor cells especially malignant tumor cells. By controlling capacitors and the trimming switches of the pulse generator, parameters of pulse amplitude and width, pulse trailing edge and the like can be regulated. The apparatus mainly comprises a switch power supply, the pulse generator, the trimming switches, electrodes with endoscopes, an oscilloscope, cables, optical fibers, a computer and related accessories. A load electrode includes a titanium-containing platinum electrode; the switch power supply consists of a switch and a driver; the mains supply is input and connected with the pulse generator through one cable or conductor wire via the switch of the switch power supply; an output end of the pulse generator is connected with a load through one conductor wire, one optical fiber or one cable, and is connected with switch devices, the oscilloscope and the load sequentially through the cables or the optical fibers.
