The invention discloses a
glass fiber impregnating agent and application thereof to production of
glass fiber yarn for enhancing an SMC-A grade surface. The
glass fiber impregnating agent is prepared from the following components, and
mass dosages of all components accounting for the total
mass of the impregnating agent are as follows, if the components are added in a dispersion
system form, the
mass dosages thereof accounting for the
solid mass are as follows: (1) 0.20-0.60 percent of pH
regulator, (2) 0.40-0.80 percent of
coupling agent, (3) 0.10-0.40 percent of
lubricant, (4) 6.00-14.00 percent of
unsaturated polyester emulsion, (5) 2.00-6.00 percent of
polyester-modified
epoxy resin
emulsion, (6) 10.00-12.00 percent of
polyvinyl acetate emulsion and (7) the balance of deionized water. The invention provides the application of the glass
fiber impregnating agent to production of glass
fiber yarn for enhancing the SMC-A grade surface, and the
yarn for the A grade surface, produced by the impregnating agent, has the advantages of high starting rate,
high stiffness, low winding hair rate, less fluffs in the winding process, high yield of a molded product,
smooth surface, good mechanical performances and the like.
