The invention relates to a method and a device for improving the quality and the yield of
cut stems produced through
microwave expanded tobacco stems, particularly to the technical field of
cut steam production through
microwave expanded tobacco stems, and belongs to the technical field of tobacco production. According to the method and the device, in the expanded tobacco stem
cutting process, a
winnowing process exists between a
slicing process and a
cutting process, expanded tobacco stems which are not
cut into stem pieces yet, expanded stem pieces of
high density or tobacco stem
powder are separated through a wind separation device, then, separated materials are subjected to
slicing in the
slicing process again, consumption that the expanded tobacco stems are sliced into the stem pieces in the
cutting process is reduced, setting of follow-up processes to reject the stem pieces is avoided, and the yield of cut steam products in the expanded tobacco stem cutting process is improved. The stem pieces of even density can be obtained after separation, the produced cut stems is high in filling value, even in density and capable of reducing in-batch fluctuation of the release amount of cigarette
tar in
smoke, improving inter-batch stability of the release amount of cigarette
tar in
smoke and reducing open seams during
combustion of cigarettes when being added to cigarettes.
