The invention discloses a diaphragm containing an active interlayer, a preparation method and application thereof. The diaphragm contains the active interlayer and an insulating layer and a base film layer which are adhered to the upper surface and the lower surface of the active interlayer respectively, wherein the base film layer plays the roles of insulation and supporting; active substances are contained in the active interlayer; and the active substances are selected from one or more of I2, S, V2O5, MoO3, MnO2, Bi2O3, Bi2Pb2O5, CFx (x being greater than or equal to 0 and smaller than or equal to 1.5), CuCl2, CuF2, CuO, CuS, FeS, FeS2, Ni2S2, AgCl, Ag2CrO4. The diaphragm disclosed by the invention is provided with the base film layer, the active interlay capable of reacting with
lithium dendrites, and the insulating layer, and the active interlayer can react with the
lithium dendrites to generate an
inert product, so that the diaphragm is used for performing active
attack converted from
passive resistance on the
lithium dendrites, and the generated
inert product also can further improve the
mechanical strength of the diaphragm. According to the diaphragm disclosed by the invention used for lithium
ion batteries or
metal lithium batteries, the generation of the lithium dendrites can be obviously inhibited, so that the
specific discharge capacity of the battery is improved, and the cycle performance of the battery is greatly promoted.
