The invention discloses a
machining process of a hollow stepped shaft. The
machining process comprises the steps of blank shearing by a cold heading
machine, end face shaping and blank pre-positioninghole forming,
tail small rod strong bundling, bundling of a small rod at the other end in a reducing mode and pre-positioning hole forming, large middle step heading, middle thin step forming /
tail positioning hole and head chamfering and center hole drilling. According to the
machining process of the hollow stepped shaft, the process of main cold heading and auxiliary drilling is adopted to
machine molding parts, and the material
utilization rate is significantly improved compared with a traditional full machining method; continuous cold heading machining is adopted to improve the productionefficiency; in the molding process,
metal fibers of a blank are not
cut off, and relatively strong mechanical properties can be ensured without heat treatment; and after cold heading molding, machining can be completed only with simple drilling equipment, and a lot of
machining time and machining equipment costs are eliminated.
