System and method for automatic information compatibility detection and pasting intervention

Content is transferred from one computer resource to another computer resource by receiving designating a first insertion point, enabling automatic paste operation, switching to a user interface to a source computer resource, receiving a user selection of content from said source user interface, and automatically copying the selected content to a transfer buffer and to the designated insertion point(s) in the destination computer resource. Additional content may be copied to the destination computer resource by simply selecting additional content in the same source computer resource or other computer resources without need to toggle back to the destination user interface between every copy and paste operation. Prior to insertion in the destination computer resource, compatibility of the content is checked, and incompatible elements are handled according to user configured rules, such as converting the elements, converting the elements, or isolating the elements.

Workflow generator for medical-clinical facilities

In a method, a system and a central control device for generation of a workflow for a medical treatment of a patient, the treatment is divided into treatment segments that are implemented on a number of instances. After the acquisition of a symptom list, a set of diagnostic questions is generated that are answered by responses. An optimized, case-specific workflow based on the symptom list is thereupon automatically generated.

Real-time adaptive circuit simulation

Some embodiments simulate a mixed-signal circuit design by adaptively applying multiple simulation engines at various regions of the design at various stages of the simulation. Some embodiments partition the mixed-signal design into multiple regions. Some embodiments classify the regions at different time steps of transient analysis. The regions are classified to indicate whether a region is active or inactive at each such time step. Then when analyzing the active regions, some embodiments adaptively apply different solvers to at least two of the active regions based on criteria associated with the active regions. Additionally, some embodiments perform an adaptive bi-direction analysis of the regions. In this manner, some embodiments optimize the circuit simulation by adaptively simulating the design using different solvers that employ greater accuracy where required and greater efficiency when less accuracy is required, thus allowing the simulation to occur with greater overall accuracy, efficiency, and capacity.

Powerline Communicated Load Control

A system for transmitting communication signals, the system comprising an injector circuit connected to a powered circuit conductor and configured to modulate a power signal with a direct current voltage offset, the direct current voltage offset being within a range that causes approximately 1 percent or less total harmonic distortion of the power signal; and a decoder connected to the powered circuit conductor and a load, the decoder configured to demodulate the direct current voltage offset to control the load. A method for transmitting communication signals, the method comprising modulating a power signal on a powered circuit conductor with a direct current voltage offset, the direct current voltage offset being within a range that causes approximately 1 percent or less total harmonic distortion of the power signal; and demodulating the direct current voltage offset to control a load.

Method of batching and analyzing of data from computerized process and control systems

The present invention is a solution for problems associated with batching, analyzing and viewing data from computerized and process control systems used in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products. Utilizing the hardware and software networking standards already implemented by a corporate IS / IT group as a platform, the present invention automatically captures (via 3rd party software), processes, archives, reports on and distributes data for any computerized equipment at a facility. Data formats for all equipment regardless of manufacturer, plant location, or hardware / software platform used, are standardized. A single data repository is provide so that any authorized user connected to the company / facility network will have the ability to query this secure data and can generate any number of different reports. Once data is collected, it is batched or grouped according to user defined rules. A batch is given a distinct number, which will then be used to identify the data. Within seconds of batching, data is automatically analyzed using process macro code. This code can be simple or complex as needed to provide only the most important details about a batch. Such analyzation eliminates the manual processing of data, which is usually complex, time-consuming and prone to error. Via the Intranet or Internet, authorized users can view or trend data and access reports including adding electronic signatures. Additional process information such as standard operating procedures, and cycle descriptions may be uploaded and attached to a batch. Any action a user performs that creates, modifies or deletes data in the data repository will be audited.

Optical microprobe for blood clot detection

InactiveUS20080300493A1Improve patient outcomeRapid evaluationSurgeryDiagnostics using spectroscopyClot DetectionElectromagnetic radiation
The invention is devices and related methods for detecting blood clots in a blood vessel. An optical microprobe is configured to illuminate a blood vessel with electromagnetic radiation corresponding to the near-infrared portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. The optical microprobe has a pair of fiber optic strands configured for transmission spectroscopy to obtain the absorption spectrum generated by the components within the blood vessel. Because blood clots generate a detectable and unique spectrum, the presence or absence of the blood clot is determined by examining the blood vessel absorption spectrum. A specially-designed holder is configured to stably position the optical microprobe relative to the blood vessel and is used to facilitate precise blood clot detection along a length of blood vessel.

Multimedia output and display device selection

Systems and methods for configuring, identifying, and selecting a desired display device of one or more display devices for multimedia output are provided. In one embodiment, a spatial orientation, display device identifier, and one or more connectivity identifiers are associated with each of one or more display devices. The associated data for each of the one or more display devices is stored in as configuration data in a configuration database for subsequent use in selecting a desired display device.

Recording, replaying and modifying an Unstructured Information Management Architecture (UIMA) pipeline

The technique herein substantially improves productivity of Annotator developers by providing methods and systems to develop and test Annotators without having to run a full pipeline every time changes are made to a particular Annotator. To this end, preferably a running pipeline is instrumented to enable automated recording of static configuration and dynamically-generated event data as the pipeline is executed. Based on these data, a reusable data model is generated that captures code and other dependencies in the pipeline (e.g., configuration parameters, intermediary CASes, program flow, annotations, and the like). The data model is then used to facilitate testing of Annotators without using the full pipeline (or even major sub-pipelines therein).

Methods and apparatus for selecting and/or labeling vessel branches

InactiveUS20060122501A1Time consumeRapid and automated identification and labelingImage enhancementImage analysisMain vesselImage system
A method for selecting and / or labeling a vessel image includes operating an imaging system to obtain reconstructed image data including a volume having vessels therein. A bone removal routine is then applied to the reconstructed image data to produce a bone-free image. An initial point on a main vessel in the bone-free image is located, and bifurcation points and branches departing from the main vessel are identified. An adjacency graph of each branch coming from the main vessel is built. The method includes either or both of selecting and displaying a best or at least a favorable path through the vessels in accordance with predetermined criteria using the adjacency branch, or labeling and displaying branches of the main vessel.

Connecting structure for a check valve

The connecting structure of the check valve has a mounted water-blocking disk placed on the valve base of the check valve and using a pin connection, an inner wall of the valve having two chips, and through holes on the chips outside the valve base having a protruding part and through hole. The chips and the through holes and the through hole of the protruding part are made in one-piece to avoid extra process to avoid extra process and to avoid the poor effect or error, or waste the processing equipment and tools and time spent on processing. When the water-blocking disk is assembled with the pin, the related positions may be more precise, the movement of the water-blocking disk may be completed correctly and smoothly, and it would not have the problems such as being crooked, not closed and leaking.
