Method and system for executing a program under one of a plurality of mutually exclusive operating environments

A method and system within a data processing system for executing a program under one of a number of mutually exclusive operating systems are disclosed. The data processing system includes a nonvolatile mass storage device, a volatile memory, and a processor. According to the present invention, a program which executes under a second operating system is invoked while the processor is executing a first operating system. In response to invocation of the program, the data processing system is forced to a quiescent state. A state of the first operating system is then determined from contents of the volatile memory and stored within either the volatile memory or the nonvolatile mass storage device. In response to storage of the state of the first operating system, at least a portion of the second operating system is automatically loaded into the volatile memory. Thereafter, the program is executed under the second operating system, wherein interchange between mutually incompatible operating systems within a single data processing system is efficiently accomplished. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the method of the present invention is embodied within a computer program product for causing a data processing system to perform the foregoing steps.

Positioning system and method of indoor mobile device

The invention provides a positioning system of an indoor mobile device. The positioning system comprises three base stations, a mobile terminal, a signal processing module, a wireless transmitting module and a background server. The three base stations are used for periodically sending Bluetooth signals in a Bluetooth wireless transmission mode, and the Bluetooth signals comprise broadcast packets of mark information of the base stations and signal intensities. The mobile terminal comprises a receiving module, wherein the receiving module is used for receiving the Bluetooth signals and determining the mark information of the base stations and the signal intensities according to the content of the broadcast packets. The signal processing module is used for calculating the distances between the three base stations and the mobile terminal according to the signal intensities of the three base stations and determining position information of the mobile terminal according to the three-point positioning algorithm. The wireless transmitting module is used for transmitting the position information to the background server through a wireless communication network. The background server is used for selectively pushing service information to the mobile terminal according to information of the distances between the mobile terminal and the base stations. After accurate positioning is carried out, data can be accurately pushed, and therefore various kinds of applications such as position marketing can be achieved.

Transaction commit method of distributed database system

The invention discloses a transaction commit method of a distributed database system, belonging to the technical field of computer network. The transaction commit method comprises the following steps: 1) a cache area is respectively allocated in memories of participant nodes and coordinator nodes and used for caching transaction logs; 2) the coordinator nodes determine the participant nodes and establishes connection with the participant nodes according to the transaction content, and simultaneously determines operation request information of the transaction; 3) the coordinator nodes send the one-step operation request messages of the transaction to the participant nodes and simultaneously records the transaction request logs of each operation request; 4) the participant nodes process local logs according to the completion condition of each operation request and send corresponding messages to the coordinator nodes; and 5) the coordinator nodes judge whether the transaction is completed according to the received messages sent by all the participant nodes, and if so, a final decision is given. Compared with the prior art, the transaction commit method greatly reduces the operation times of logs, improves system efficiency and transaction efficiency and has extremely high availability.
