Molecular-wire crossbar interconnect (MWCI) for signal routing and communications

A molecular-wire crossbar interconnect for signal routing and communications between a first level and a second level in a molecular-wire crossbar is provided. The molecular wire crossbar comprises a two-dimensional array of a plurality of nanometer-scale switches. Each switch is reconfigurable and self-assembling and comprises a pair of crossed wires which form a junction where one wire crosses another and at least one connector species connecting the pair of crossed wires in the junction. The connector species comprises a bi-stable molecule. Each level comprises at least one group of switches and each group of switches comprises at least one switch, with each group in the first level connected to all other groups in the second level in an all-to-all configuration to provide a scalable, defect-tolerant, fat-tree networking scheme. The primary advantage is ease of fabrication, because an active switch is formed any time two wires cross. This saves tremendously on circuit area (a factor of a few times ten), since no other wires or ancillary devices are needed to operate the switch or store the required configuration. This reduction of the area of a configuration bit and its switch to just the area of two crossing wires is a major advantage in constructing a defect-tolerant interconnect network.

Cannula Security Piece

A set of annular sleeves circumferentially mounted along sections of a nasal cannula. The sleeves are protective devices that prevent skin irritation and bed sores from developing after prolonged use of a nasal cannula. Improved stability of the cannula tube is also provided in the form of a sleeve connecting strap between ear sleeves, preventing dislocation of the cannula from the patient. The sleeves comprise tubular sections with an interior and an exterior surface. The interior surface contacts the outer diameter of the cannula breathing tube while the exterior surface contacts the patient under the nostrils, along the neck, and around the ears. The sleeves increase the cross-section of the cannula tube for improved fitment, while the strap reacts pull-off load.

Method for assembling an electric motor and motor obtained using this method

A method for assembling an electric motor of the type comprising a stator unit (5) and a rotary unit (6) housed in a containment compartment (2a) delimited by a casing (2), comprises the step of exposing the compartment (2a) to a different pressure relative to the outside environment and the step of checking for the passage of fluid between the outside environment and the compartment (2a) in order to test the motor (1) hermetic seal.

System for classifying lists of telephone numbers

A system and method for automatically classifying lists of telephone numbers into one or more predetermined categories is provided. The system initiates calls to each telephone number. A specific request is made of the callee, which confirms the number as being “live-answered.” The system uses speech recognition software to compare audible sounds received on the other end of the line to a plurality of spoken messages to classify each telephone number that has been classified as “not live-answered” for future use or exclusion. One embodiment of the system records each telephone call, enabling the process to be performed using a single call to each telephone number.
