seedling stage, and relates to the technical field of information of crops. The method includes the steps that firstly, images of plants in the corn
seedling stage are acquired, and an
image sequence I (I1, I2, ...In) is obtained, wherein the n is a positive integer; secondly, repeated areas in every two adjacent images in the
image sequence I (I1, I2, ...In) are spliced, and a row-direction image IW in the corn
seedling stage is obtained; thirdly, the row-direction image IW in the corn seedling stage is divided and recognized,
plant stem positions in the corn seedling stage are obtained, and a row-direction straight line of
plant stems in the corn seedling stage is calculated; fourthly, according to the row-direction straight line of the
plant stems in the corn seedling stage, the positions where the seedlings are in shortage are recognized and the number of the seedlings in shortage is calculated. The method and device have high
automation degree, and can replace a manual method to search for the number of the seedlings in shortage in the core seedling stage, reduce human input investment and remove interference of personal errors. Therefore, the quality of corn seeds is easier to evaluate, and indexes of operation accuracy for measuring a seedling
machine tool are easier to obtain.
