Kiosks are also developed which assist customers in the selection of videos, music, books, and the like in accordance with the customer's objective profiles.

The method includes receiving a multimedia file associated with feed formatted content at a multimedia device, receiving a time activator associated with the multimedia file and the feed formatted content at the multimedia device, storing the multimedia file in association with the time activator at the multimedia device, receiving an information request, determining a time factor, and selectively providing the multimedia file on the multimedia device based on the information request, the time factor, and the time activator.

The invention generally pertains to a hand-held computing device. More particularly, the invention pertains to a computing device that is capable of controlling the speed of the music so as to affect the mood and behavior of the user during an activity such as exercise. By way of example, the speed of the music can be controlled to match the pace of the activity (synching the speed of the music to the activity of the user) or alternatively it can be controlled to drive the pace of the activity (increasing or decreasing the speed of the music to encourage a greater or lower pace). One aspect of the invention relates to adjusting the tempo (or some other attribute) of the music being outputted from the computing device. By way of example, a songs tempo may be increased or decreased before or during playing. Another aspect of the invention relates to selecting music for outputting based on tempo (or some other attribute). For example, the computing device may only play songs having a particular tempo. Yet another aspect of the invention relates to both selecting music based on tempo and adjusting the tempo of the music.

This invention relates to a system and methods for determining the placement of an object in a distributed key-value store by mapping the object to nodes in multidimensional hyperspace. A search function supports efficient object retrieval, even when the search query requests multiple objects and specifies them through non-primary keys. In response to a search query, the search is translated into hyperregions in the hyperspace to determine the set of nodes that hold the queried data object. The computer provides a configurable product model and enables preview and automatic or user-guided customization of the product model. A display is communicatively coupled with the computer and displays the custom product model superimposed on the anatomic model or image data of the user. The computer is further configured to provide the customized product model to a manufacturer for manufacturing eyewear for the user in accordance with the customized product model. The manufacturing system is configured to interpret the product model and prepare instructions and control equipment for the manufacturing of the customized product.

In various embodiments, such processing of the index and storing of the metadata can facilitate, for example, enhanced data management operations, enhanced data identification operations, enhanced storage operations, data classification for organizing and storing the metadata, cataloging of metadata for the stored metadata, and / or user interfaces for managing data. The present invention comprises performing a first snapshot of an information store that indexes the contents of the information store, copying the contents of the information store to a first storage device, using the first snapshot, and updating a replication volume table indicating the storage of the contents of the first information store using the first snapshot on the first storage device. A second snapshot is performed of the information store that indexes the contents of the information store, the contents of the information store are copied to a second storage device using the second snapshot and the replication volume table is updated to indicate the storage of the contents of the first information store using the second snapshot on the second storage device.

A logging system includes an event receiver and a storage manager. The receiver receives log data, processes it, and outputs a data “chunk.” The manager receives data chunks and stores them so that they can be queried.
