The invention provides a capacity testing method based on a secondary
radar interrogator. The capacity testing method comprises the steps: according to externally set initial parameters, a testing mode is selected to generate
simulation targets in sectors; when a test is started, the current distance between each
simulation target and the interrogator is calculated according to real-time parameters of the
simulation targets in the single sectors, when the decoding
gate count is matched with the current distance, encoding is triggered to conduct target encoding single-
cycle time counting, whenthe target encoding single-
cycle time count is equal to 10, the pulse encoding timing sequence is started to be responded according to a standard A / C mode, and ASK codes are output; and according to the sum and difference of a real target relative to the
system orientation, and the phase characteristic of a control wave beam, the sum and difference of the current simulation target, control channelvideo signals and symbol bits are generated in a simulation mode and output. Fully digitized target aircraft response
signal simulation is conducted through FPGA
software, and thus the testing cost can be lowered; and a plurality of target aircrafts can be simulated to meet the need of saturation testing of the
processing capacity of the secondary
radar interrogator.
