The invention relates to a device and method for determining
breathing heat produced by a
livestock. The device for determining the
breathing heat of a
livestock open type mask is characterized by comprising components of a
breathing mask, an exchanger, a
pressure difference determining instrument, a
data collecting instrument and the like, wherein the breathing
mask is provided with an air inspiration pipeline and an air expiration pipeline, and the air inspiration pipeline and the air expiration pipeline are the same pipeline. The invention also provides a method for determining the breathing heat produced by the
livestock. According to the device and the method, provided by the invention, the humiture and the
pressure difference of the pipeline can be monitored in real time due to the adoption of the
open type breathing mask, the breathing
oxygen consumption of the livestock can be directly analyzed by adopting a precise
oxygen analyzer, and data can be recorded and analyzed in real time as the
data collecting instrument is directly connected with a computer. The
oxygen consumption of the livestock per
heartbeat can be calculated by combining the determination of the
heart rate of the livestock according to a principle that the oxygen consumption per
heartbeat of the livestock in normal
grazing or barn feeding is stable and the determination of the oxygen consumption of the livestock in short time and the
heart rate, and the heat production quantity of the livestock can be then calculated according to
heart rate monitoring data of the livestock in 24 hours.
