This intuitive interface simplifies directing the robot while the visual feedback improves the positioning accuracy and allows for implicit localization. A system and a method of performing a frameless image-guided biopsy uses imaging, a six-dimensional robotic couch system, a laser guidance system, an optical distance indicator, and a needle control apparatus. A planning CT scan is made of the patient with stereotactic fiduciary markers to localize and produce digitally reconstructed radiographs. Two stereoscopic images are generated using an imaging device to visualize and identify a target tumor. The images are fused with the digitally reconstructed radiographs of the planning CT scan to process tumor location. The tumor location data are communicated to the movable robotic couch to position the target tumor of the patient at a known isocenter location. A biopsy needle is guided with a laser alignment mechanism towards the isocenter at the determined depth using a needle positioning apparatus and an Optical Distance Indicator, and a biopsy sample of the target tumor is obtained.

Laser Guided and Laser Powered Energy Discharge Device

The present invention relates to a laser guided and powered directed energy weapon that combines two different lasers to accurately and efficiently deliver a high energy electromagnetic pulse (EMP) to a target at long range. The method uses a high energy laser pulse with relatively long pulse duration focused in air to create a plasma ball which emits an intense EMP. Typically the long pulse duration of high energy lasers would severely limit focal accuracy and effective range because of air pressure variations and pollutants in the atmosphere. However the present invention uses a second ultrafast laser to create a long thin optical plasma filament between the variable location of the plasma ball and the target to act as a stable electrical connection or conducting wire. Consequently EMP can be efficiently channeled to the target via the optical filament, thereby dramatically increasing potential accuracy, range and energy delivery efficiency.

The load simulation device is used for simulating the aerodynamic moment on a steering engine in the flying process of the missile. The launch-control device mainly completes self-checking and confirming of equipment, data loading and launching instructions on the missile.
