134 results about "Error limit" patented technology

More Information. The synchronization services returns a stopped-error-limit error message. The most common cause of this situation is an accumulation of "exported-change-not-reimported" errors. You can increase the error limit to a sufficient value so that synchronization can finish processing all objects before the error limit is reached.

Method for prediction random defect yields of integrated circuits with accuracy and computation time controls

A method of computing a manufacturing yield of an integrated circuit having device shapes includes sub-dividing the integrated circuit into failure mechanism subdivisions (each of the failure mechanism subdivisions includes one or more failure mechanism and each of the failure mechanisms includes one or more defect mechanisms), partitioning the failure mechanism subdivisions by area into partitions, pre-processing the device shapes in each partition, computing an initial average number of faults for each of the failure mechanisms and for each partition by numerical integration of an average probability of failure of each failure mechanism, (the numerical integration produces a list of defect sizes for each defect mechanism, and the computing of the initial average includes setting a maximum integration error limit, a maximum sample size for a population of each defect size, and a maximum number of allowable faults for each failure mechansim), and computing a final average number of faults for the integrated circuit by iterativelly reducing a statistical error of the initial average number of faults for each of the failure mechanisms until the statistical error is below an error limit.

Method of generating a smooth image from point cloud data

A method for processing an array of pixels in a point cloud, comprises calculating local error limits for each distance value for each pixel in the processed point cloud data set. One may then determine the error bar. One begins a distance value adjusting loop by for each pixel in the processed point cloud data set by calculating the difference between the distance value in the pixel of the point cloud data set being processed and each of the neighboring pixels or the most suitable neighboring pixel distance value is determined whether the difference is within the range defined by the error bar. It the difference is not within the error bar, the distance value is changed for the pixel being processed by a small fraction while keeping the new distance value within the range defined by the original distance value for the pixel being processed plus or minus the error bar. If the difference is within the error bar the distance value in the pixel being processed is replaced by a weighted average value. The number of neighboring pixels with their distance values within the error bar for the pixel being processed is counted and if the count is greater than a predetermined threshold, average the counted distance values and substitute the average for the pixel distance value, but if the count is below the threshold leave the pixel distance value unchanged. It is determined whether loop exit criteria have been met and if loop exit criteria have not been met beginning the loop again, and if loop exit criteria have been met, terminating the loop.

Systems and methods for enhanced quantum key formation using an actively compensated QKD system

Systems and methods for enhanced quantum key distribution (QKD) using an actively compensated QKD system. The method includes exchanging quantum signals between first and second QKD stations and measuring the quantum signal error. An error signal SE representative of the system visibility error is then generated. An error-signal threshold STH that defines a system visibility error limit is then selected. Those qubits measured with the condition SE>STH are called “above-threshold” qubits, while those qubits measured with the condition SE≦STH are called “below-threshold” qubits. Only below-threshold qubits are stored and used to form the final quantum key. This is accomplished by sending a blanking signal SB to the memory unit where the qubits are stored. The blanking signal prevents above-threshold qubits from being stored therein. The raw quantum key so formed has few errors and thus forms a longer final quantum key for a given number of exchanged quantum signals.

Method and apparatus to perform security and vulnerability testing of protocols

Flaws in information security infest modern software, and pervasive computing has made network systems vulnerable. Information security is constantly endangered by errors in protocol implementations. Testing a protocol implementation for errors directly from a network where a device implementing the protocol resides limits the coverage of protocols tested. In contrast, testing protocols from an access network that internetworks a customer premises with one or more service networks greatly expands the coverage of protocols tested. Accordingly, a method and corresponding apparatus are provided to test from the access network, testing both service network devices and customer premises devices, and the protocols implemented on those devices.

Gamut false color display

A gamut error false color display uses false coloring on a monochrome image of a video picture being tested. Composite and component gamut error signals are extracted from an input video signal representing the video picture being tested. Such error signals may represent gamut error states corresponding to near out-of-gamut, out-of-gamut high, near out-of-gamut low, out-of-gamut low, etc. A false color display generator has the gamut error signals and a luminance component of the input video signal as inputs and outputs the gamut false color display as the monochrome image with different colors for those pixels in the monochrome image that correspond to the gamut error signals when a gamut error is indicated. Each display component may be tested for gamut errors as well as the video picture as a whole (component or composite). Also either fixed or variable persistence may be used to identify gamut errors over several video pictures in the input video signal. A counter may be used to count the gamut errors detected in order to take a “snapshot” of the gamut error display when a predetermined error limit is reached.
