Loadbreak connectors which are modified to reduce the probability of flashover upon disassembly operation of a loadbreak bushing insert from a power cable elbow connector. The bushing insert is provided with vents to vent a cavity formed between the elbow cuff and the transition shoulder portion of the bushing insert with ambient air to avoid a decrease in pressure within the connection region and avoid a decrease in the dielectric strength of the air therein thus preventing flashover. The vents can be provided directly on the transition shoulder portion of the insert, an elbow seating indicator band or on a bushing insert interface shell. Additionally, the band and the shell may be formed of a bright contrasting color which serves to indicate whether the loadbreak connector is improperly assembled. The shell further reduces friction upon assembly of the connector.

The invention relates to a preparation method for a cable insulating material capable of realizing self-repairing of early-stage electrical-tree defects. The cable insulating material is composite material prepared by blending 1 to 3 wt% of a microcapsule containing a liquid repairing agent and a low-density polyethylene base material, then adding 0.02 to 0.05 wt% of a Grubbs catalyst, carrying out extrusion with an extruder and then carrying out cooling and drying, wherein the microcapsule containing the liquid repairing agent is a urea-formaldehyde resin-coated dicyclopentadiene nanometer microcapsule. Early-stage electrical-tree defects are repaired through a chemical reaction of the repairing agent with the catalyst imbedded in a substrate, so the dielectric strength of the cable insulating material is prevented from obvious decrease. The material prepared in the invention has the characteristics of simple preparation, high repairing efficiency, capacity of maintaining dielectric strength for a long time, etc., is extensively applicable to electric insulation layers of cables and has effectively improved service life and usage stability.

High-voltage cabinet dew point detection system and method thereof

The invention relates to a high-voltage cabinet dew point detection system and a method thereof. The system comprises a remote computer, a main controller and a temperature and humidity transmitter used for acquiring indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity data changes of a high-voltage cabinet. The temperature and humidity transmitter sensitively detects temperature and humidity value changes in air, converts the changes into electric signals and transmits the electric signals to a system host, namely the main controller, through an RS-485 bus. The system host processes, converts, displays and stores data, compares the data with a set value and controls a warning unit and a dehumidifying corollary device to work. Besides, the main controller transmits the data and state content to the remote computer. Accordingly, temperature, humidity and dew point data in the 35 kV high-voltage cabinet can be directly detected. Prevention is conducted before equipment in the cabinet, especially a busbar, generates condensation. Meanwhile, the dehumidifying corollary device can be controlled to dehumidify the interior of the cabinet in a linkage mode, the dew point in the cabinet is lowered, work efficiency is improved, loads of operators are reduced, and the requirement of power industry development in China is also met.
