The invention provides a fault
positioning system and method for a distribution line. The fault
positioning system comprises a
signal generation device, a plurality of
partial discharge detection sensors and a control center, wherein the
signal generation device is connected with calibration interfaces of the
partial discharge detection sensors and used for injecting a first pulse
signal into a to-be-detected distribution line, a second pulse signal is generated when the distribution line breaks down, the
partial discharge detection sensors are sequentially installed along the distribution line in a segmented mode, one end is connected with one end of a
coupling capacitor, the other end is grounded for collecting analog
voltage signals, first pulse signals and second pulse signals in the distribution line, and the control center is used for receiving, analyzing and
processing the analog
voltage signals, the first pulse signals and the second pulse signals, and calculating to obtain thedistance information and the fault position information of mounting positions of two adjacent partial
discharge detection sensors. The
system is advantaged in that the
system can achieve quick and precise positioning of the fault position of the power distribution line, and is efficient, intelligent and convenient.
